Gita shloka 5.25. Only a person who is fully in Krsna consciousness can be said to be engaged in welfare work for all living entities. The sufferings of humanity are due to forgetfulness of Krsna as the supreme enjoyer, the supreme proprietor, and the supreme friend. Therefore, to act to revive this consciousness within the entire human society is the highest welfare work. One cannot be engaged in first-class welfare work without being liberated in the Supreme. A Krsna conscious person has no doubt about the supremacy of Krsna. This is the state of divine love.

TRANSLATION

One who is beyond duality and doubt, whose mind is engaged within, who is always busy working for the welfare of all sentient beings, and who is free from all sins, achieves liberation in the Supreme.

PURPORT

Only a person who is fully in Krsna consciousness can be said to be engaged in welfare work for all living entities.

When a person is actually in the knowledge that Krsna is the fountainhead of everything, then when he acts in that spirit he acts for everyone.

He has no doubt because he is completely freed from all sins.

This is the state of divine love.

A person engaged only in ministering to the physical welfare of human society cannot factually help anyone.

Temporary relief of the external body and the mind is not satisfactory.

The real cause of one's difficulties in the hard struggle for life may be found in one's forgetfulness of his relationship with the Supreme Lord.

When a man is fully conscious of his relationship with Krsna, he is actually a liberated soul, although he may be in the material tabernacle.

Gita-shloka-5.8, 5.9 : In material consciousness, the senses are engaged in sense gratification, but in Krsna consciousness the senses are engaged in the satisfaction of Krsna's senses, 30th Aug

Gita-shloka-5.8, 5.9 : In material consciousness, the senses are engaged in sense gratification, but in Krsna consciousness the senses are engaged in the satisfaction of Krsna's senses. Therefore, the Krsna conscious person is always free, even though he appears to be engaged in things of the senses. He cannot perform any act except in the service of the Lord because he knows that he is the eternal servitor of the Lord.

TRANSLATION

A person in the divine consciousness, although engaged in seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, moving about, sleeping, and breathing, always knows within himself that he actually does nothing at all.

Because while speaking, evacuating, receiving, opening or closing his eyes, he always knows that only the material senses are engaged with their objects and that he is aloof from them.

PURPORT

A person in Krsna consciousness is pure in his existence, and consequently he has nothing to do with any work which depends upon five immediate and remote causes: the doer, the work, the situation, the endeavor and fortune.

This is because he is engaged in the loving transcendental service of Krsna.

Although he appears to be acting with his body and senses, he is always conscious of his actual position, which is spiritual engagement.

In material consciousness, the senses are engaged in sense gratification, but in Krsna consciousness the senses are engaged in the satisfaction of Krsna's senses.

Therefore, the Krsna conscious person is always free, even though he appears to be engaged in things of the senses.

Activities such as seeing, hearing, speaking, evacuating, etc., are actions of the senses meant for work.

A Krsna consciousness person is never affected by the actions of the senses.

He cannot perform any act except in the service of the Lord because he knows that he is the eternal servitor of the Lord.

Vinod Agarwal Bhajan lyrics क्यों आ के रो रहा है, गोविन्द की गली में, kyon aa ke ro raha hai, Govind ki gali men

kyon aa ke ro raha hai, Govind ki gali mein

why do you cry when you come to Lord’s protection

there is medicine for everything here

you tell everything openly to Lord whatever your mind is cooking as you cannot hide anything from Him who sits in your heart

there is only happiness and bliss in Lord's presence

why do you wait for the night (problems) to pass when both day (pleasures) and night (problems) are made by Him only

stay focused on your goal (of loving Lord) regardless of the path or day & night, everything is colourful & blissful in Lord’s presence

some cry before Him & some shout at Him but He listens only to those who speak His language ,i.e., in a loving devoted voice

the wind always flows in orderly manner in his presence

you drink nectar of His name and forget the worries in life & live life as He wants you to

Then happiness & bliss would follow you

why do you worry wherever & in whatever status of life you are – fearful way is no way of living

when the boat is His and He is the Oarsman of your life ,i.e., if you have surrendered to Him

Bhagvatam:- Because of their offenses at the feet of devotees, two attendants of the Lord in Vaikuntha named Jaya and Vijaya became Hiranyakasipu and Hiranyäksha in Satya-yuga, Rävana and Kumbhakarna in the next yuga, Tretä-yuga, and Sisupäla and Dantavakra at the end of Dväpara-yuga, 28th Aug

Bhagvatam:- Because of their offenses at the feet of devotees, two attendants of the Lord in Vaikuntha named Jaya and Vijaya became Hiranyakasipu and Hiranyäksha in Satya-yuga, Rävana and Kumbhakarna in the next yuga, Tretä-yuga, and Sisupäla and Dantavakra at the end of Dväpara-yuga. Because of their fruitive acts, Jaya and Vijaya agreed to become the Lord's enemies, and when killed in that mentality, they attained salvation in oneness. Thus even if one thinks of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in envy, he attains salvation. What then is to be said of devotees who always engage in the Lord's service with love and faith?

“The Supreme Lord Is Equal to Everyone”

In this chapter, in response to a question by Mahäräja Parikshit, Sukadeva Gosvämi gives his conclusions concerning how the Supreme Personality of Godhead, although the Supersoul, friend and protector of everyone, killed the Daityas, the demons, for the sake of Indra, the King of heaven.

In his statements, he totally refutes the arguments of people in general who accuse the Supreme Lord of partiality.

Sukadeva Gosvämi proves that because the body of the conditioned soul is infected by the three qualities of nature, dualities arise such as enmity and friendship, attachment and detachment.

For the Supreme Personality of Godhead, however, there are no such dualities.

Even eternal time cannot control the activities of the Lord.

Eternal time is created by the Lord, and it acts under His control.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, therefore, is always transcendental to the influence of the modes of nature, mäyä, the Lord's external energy, which acts in creation and annihilation.

Thus all the demons killed by the Supreme Lord attain salvation immediately.

The second question raised by Parikshit Mahäräja concerns how Sisupäla, although inimical toward Krshna from his very childhood and always blaspheming Krshna, attained salvation in oneness when Krshna killed him.

Sukadeva Gosvämi explains that because of their offenses at the feet of devotees, two attendants of the Lord in Vaikuntha named Jaya and Vijaya became Hiranyakasipu and Hiranyäksha in Satya-yuga, Rävana and Kumbhakarna in the next yuga, Tretä-yuga, and Sisupäla and Dantavakra at the end of Dväpara-yuga.
