Full Text 1  If God is forcing us to do something, He should bear the karma. Why should we bear the karma? Ramesh ate the food and Dinesh vomited out? But Swamiji, what we do, we are doing ? God is not doing?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=0  2  We are the doers. If God was our director, then we would never have made a mistake. Can God make mistakes ? Of course not. If God was our director then we should be free from any mistake, simple logic.  If the driver of the car is sane, the car will go properly. If the driver is inebriated, the car will go off course. If God is our driver, all our actions should be perfect.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=29  3  But we people make so many mistakes. "Sorry". What sorry?! I made a mistake. Why did you make a mistake? To err is human. So to err as human means that we humans are doing it, not the all-perfect God.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=66  4  Second point if God is the doer, then the karmic reactions of those actions should be borne by God. If God is forcing us to do something he should bear the Karma , why should we bear the karma ?  Ramesh ate the food and Dinesh vomited out. What kind of logic is this? God made us do all these awful things, and the karma He is putting it on to us. Let Him either bear the Karma Himself or forgive Himself. But let Him release us.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=88  5  If this philosophy is true that God is the doer, then nobody can ever punish anyone. One criminal has committed murder and he is being brought to court. The the judge says all the evidence has come & it is confirmed that you were the killer and you should be punished.  The convict says, "Your Honor, don't you know philosophy? All that we do, we are not the doers. It is God who is making us do. If you have any punishment in mind, give it to God. Please free me from here."  The judge will say, look in every country of the world, no matter what their religious tradition, everybody understands, for your actions you are responsible. Even when in Bharatvarsh, the rule of Manu Smriti was there, even then everybody was responsible for their actions. That means we are the doers, not God.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=135  6  Third point. If God is the doer then he should do equally through everyone. Because he's perfectly unbiased to all. Either he should make all God realized or he should make everybody a demon.  But why does He make somebody Vibhishan and somebody Ravan, someone Prahlad and someone Hiranyakashipu. The equitably disposed God, why does He engage in such prejudice?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=201  7  Further God in the scriptures has given injunctions. There is "Vidhi" and "nishedh". Do this, don't do this. If you do this, you'll get this fruit. If you get do that, you'll get that punishment.  Now if God is the doer, why is He telling us, do this, don't do this. This is the consequence, that is the consequence. What is the need for explaining all that?  In the Bhagavad-gita itself, He repeatedly tells Arjun, Arjun this work will have that consequence. This path will lead to such a goal. At the end of the Bhagavad-gita, He says I've given you the knowledge, now do what you wish.  Supposing Shri Krishna is the doer, then he should say, Arjun, you don't need to hear anything. I will do what I want. The whole Gita will end in two sentences. Arjun, you don't need to understand. I am going to do. What is the need for the whole lecture?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=233  8  So we are responsible for our actions. If we make a mistake, we must correct it and not blame God for it. Does the point make sense? But then somebody who has been reading scriptures can question that swami ji, the scriptures have repeatedly said that God is the doer. Arjun, I am seated in everybody's heart.  And from me comes knowledge, remembrance and forgetfulness how come the scriptures are saying this? Yes, this philosophy is a little intricate and needs to be understood seriously, not just casually.  You see you apply yourself to your material field of specialty. Apply your intellect to spiritual knowledge as well. It is equally if not more important. I am sure, each of you can understand this point if you just try.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=311  9  Why do the scriptures say somewhere the soul is the doer and somewhere God is the doer . The reason is there are two kinds of doers.  One is He who provides the power and energy to do and second is the one who utilizes that energy. Just like the powerhouse, the energy company supplied the energy and then we have utilized it to illuminate this room.  Now if the energy company did not give the power, we could do nothing of electric work here. However once the power has been given, how we utilize it is our own choice. You can light an LED or an LCD or a halogen.  You can cool the room, you can heat the room or if somebody is off balance, they can catch the two terminals and get electrocuted. But they should not blame the energy company. Even an American Society, where suing is an epidemic, I don't think anybody has sued the energy company. "I got shocked; it's all the energy company's fault."  They will say, look we gave you the power. What you did with it was your own lookout. Similarly God gives us the power to do.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=385  10  Just like this clock is insentient, dead matter, this microphone is insentient. Similarly the body, the mind, the intellect are all insentient. God energizes them with the ability to do. He gives our eyes the power to see.  Now what do you make of it. Either you come to the temple and see the form of the Lord or you sit in a cinema hall and see Bollywood and Hollywood. But whatever you see, don't blame God.  Why does God show me Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan? God is not showing you. God is only giving you the power to see. The ability to choose is yours. God has given the mind the ability to think.  Now either you think of Virat Kohli and Dhoni or you think of God and guru. That is a choice that you will make. If God did not give us the power, we would not be able to do anything. It's a fact.  Not even a leaf can move but by God's power. However once he has given us the power, what we do with it is the decision we make and that is why we are responsible for our actions.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMErBt9ZIsY&t=491  Transcript 0:00 If God is forcing us to do something, He should bear the karma. BEWARE - 3 Diseases of the MIND that 99% Don't Realize | Control your Mind by Swami Mukundanand

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg

Full Text 1  everybody is getting affected by mental afflictions but very few recognize them the vedas call these as “Manas Rog”, diseases of the mind, anger, greed, desire, etc. so what if so many mental afflictions torment us, what will be the situation of the soul ? That is the plight of us souls in the material realm.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=6  2  The 3 Mental Afflictions: We are going to discuss the functioning of the mind which results in the development of anger, greed, desire etc. , the vedas call these as “Manas Rog”, diseases of the mind, like there are physical diseases, hepatitis, jaundice typhoid etc.,  we all know about them, so there are also mental diseases, anger, greed, desire etc., we have never seen them as diseases, we know that we experience anger but we don't know it's a mental affliction,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=51  3  the Ramayan says “verse”, everybody is getting affected by these mental afflictions but very few recognize them, and when they don't recognize, where is the question of treating them ? But their consequences are disastrous “verse”,  Tulsi Das ji Maharaj says, if you get one physical ailment, it cripples you for a whole day, Swami I could not come yesterday, my tooth was aching, one tooth ache is causing such problems, so what if so many mental afflictions torment us, what will be the situation of the soul, that is the plight of us souls in the material realm and hence the subject behooves a deeper study.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=104  4  There is the subject of psychoanalysis and there have been many psychologists who have studied this human psyche and presented their theories, it started with Sigman Freud and then Carl Jung and then Adler and Maslow and McClelland etc. but you take the whole of Western psychology  and then compare it with the vedic psychology, the vedas have separated each strand and given such a perfect analysis that leaves no scope for guess work or doubt, they start very simply, the two first afflictions, one is anger and the other is greed,
Anger: take a look at anger - it is such an awful thing, people who are affected by rage and fury, they lose their intellect, they destroy property, they hurt, injure and even kill people.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=196  5  A case happened in Uttar Pradesh in India, two brothers were having a legal battle over their father's property, the mother used to stay with the elder brother, the two of them were thakurs, you know the land owners there are called thakurs, and they love to have big mustaches, which they twirl around in a circle if you see the thakurs of Uttar Pradesh,  now the case came up in the court and the judgment went in favor of the younger brother, in the evening the younger brother was returning and he was passing by the boundary of his elder brother and while passing by, he looked and he lifted up his moustache, indicating that I won,  the mother said to the elder one, if you have drunk my milk, teach him a lesson, the elder one in a rage of fury took a lathi (a staff) and started whacking the younger one, until he died,  now when the inquiry was done what was the cause of this murder, it came to light that the only problem was that he had lifted his mustache but the anger that resulted from it was so decimating.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=271  6  Once a father became subject to it, he was changing the wheel of his car while his son was on the other side and unknown to the father the son took a piece of stone and was scratching something on his BMW, after the wheel had been changed  the father came around, you have spoiled my car, he took the spanner and started hitting his son on his hand so hard that he made mince meat of the knuckles and son had to be taken to the hospital where the doctor said that these are unusable now, three fingers have to be removed, the father was crestfallen,  later on when the son came to consciousness and saw three fingers missing, he said, dad, when will these fingers grow back, the father felt greater regret,  totally shattered he walked back and took a look at what his son had scratched on his BMW, the son in his innocence had written dad I love you, now the father caught his head what did I do, this is the anger which destroyed the intellect, the first mental affliction.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=378  7  Greed  The second one is greed. Greed is such a thing, anger rises and subsides, but greed never subsides, it just goes on and on and on. One sadhu, he went to a king's court and the king said what do you want, ask and I I'll give you, the sadhu said maharaj, I have got my mendicant bowl, just fill this up with jewels, the king said that's all ?  you have come to the king of this country for and you're asking for one bowl of jewels, ask ! The sadu said, maharaj, greed is not good, just fill this one up, the king asked his servants to bring,  they kept on pouring jewels in bowl and no matter how much they put, it was not filling up, the king's treasure house got emptied, he admitted defeat, he said, O sage, what is the secret of your bowl ?  the sadhu said, o king, this is the human heart, it never fills up, no matter how much you have, you always want more,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=478  8  is there any rich person who says enough is there, any powerful person who says enough is there, any president or prime minister who says okay one term is enough, even two terms, it goes on and on and on,  no matter how much of fame, prestige, power, wealth, opulence you get, the nature of greed is, it wants even more, so this then is the second mental affliction, it is called Lobha, greed  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=575  9  Desire  but then the vedas say these two are only Incidental, the bigger affliction is a third one , really, what is this third affliction, it is desire. Desire ? yes, what desire ? desire to see, taste, touch, smell hear, desire for becoming rich and famous etc, these desires the vedas say are the biggest affliction of our inner world,  you can say what is wrong with desire swami ji, in anger people commit murder, in greed their whole life gets wasted and in desire they're only wanting, craving, I want rasgula, gulab jamun, harmless thing, no ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=621  10  This desire is the mother of anger and greed, why does anger arise ? when you make a desire and it is obstructed, it is unfulfilled, your expectation is unmet that leads to the outburst of anger,  you desired that your child should be obedient and disciplined and the child did not conform to your desires, it made you angry,  you desired that people should offer me respect, they neglected you, you became angry. Anger is always the consequence of an obstructed desire, it can never come without that, so now we have understood when we make a desire and it is hindered, it results in fury,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=694  11  now supposing that desire is fulfilled, then what happens ? the desire subsides for a little while and then it comes back with redoubled intensity - that is the enigma of desires. “verse”  this is a beautiful verse of the Srimad Bhagavatam Mahapuran, Ved Vyas has written, “verse”, the kamna or desire is such it is never going to go away by fulfilling it, if you say you know, swami ji, everything is all right but that one desire I have, if that desire gets fulfilled then I'll have no further desires, you are a simpleton (fool) because the moment it is fulfilled it is going to become double,  just like if you have an itch, now you say I have got one little out here, let me scratch it, ah, now I don't have any it anywhere but does it solve the problem after a little while it comes back and then after a little while it comes back so also are all kinds of desires “verse”, slowly slowly as you keep fulfilling the desires, it results in greed, so what is greed? Greed is an intense desire  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g5jQOiYevg&t=768  Transcript Introduction 0:06 everybody is getting affected by mental 0:09 afflictions but very few recognize them 0:14 the vedas call these as “Manas Rog”, 0:20 diseases of the mind, anger, greed, desire, 0:24 etc. so what if so many mental 0:29 afflictions torment us, what will be the 0:33 situation of the soul ? That is the plight 0:38 of us souls in the material The 3 Mental Afflictions 0:51 realm. We are going to discuss the 0:54 functioning of the mind which results in 0:57 the development of anger, greed, desire 1:03 etc the vedas call these as “Manas 1:08 Rog” diseases of the 1:12 mind, like there are physical 1:16 diseases, hepatitis, jaundice typhoid etc., 1:21 we all know about 1:24 them, so there are also mental 1:28 diseases, anger, greed, desire 1:32 etc., we have never seen them as 1:35 diseases, we know that we experience 1:39 anger but we don't know it's a mental 1:44 affliction, the Ramayan 1:55 says “verse”, everybody is getting affected by 1:59 these mental 2:01 afflictions but very few recognize them, 2:06 and when they don't recognize, where is 2:08 the question of treating 2:12 them ? But their consequences are 2:16 Disastrous “verse”, 2:31 Tulsi Das ji Maharaj says, if you get one physical 2:37 ailment, it cripples you for a whole 2:40 Day, Swami I could not come yesterday, my tooth 2:44 was 2:45 aching, one tooth ache is causing such 2:50 problems, so what if so many mental 2:54 afflictions torment us, what will be the 2:58 situation of the soul, 3:00 that is the plight of us souls in the 3:05 material 3:07 realm and hence the subject behooves a 3:12 deeper 3:16 study. There is the subject of 3:20 psychoanalysis and there have been many 3:24 psychologists who have studied this 3:27 human psyche and presented their 3:31 theories, it started with Sigman Freud 3:34 and then Carl Jung and then Adler and Maslow 3:38 and McClelland etc. 3:41 but you take the whole of Western 3:46 psychology and then compare it with the 3:49 vedic  3:50 psychology, the vedas have separated each 3:54 strand and given such a perfect analysis 4:00 that leaves no scope for guess work or 4:04 doubt, they start very Anger 4:08 simply, the two first 4:11 afflictions, one is anger and the other 4:14 is greed, take a look at anger - it is such 4:19 an awful thing, people who are affected 4:24 by rage and fury, they lose their 4:28 intellect, they destroy property, they 4:31 hurt, injure and even kill people. A case 4:37 happened in Uttar Pradesh in 4:40 India, two brothers were having a legal 4:44 battle over their father's 4:48 property, the mother used to stay with 4:51 the elder 4:54 brother, the two of them were thakurs, you 4:57 know the land owners there are called thakurs, 5:00 and they love to have big mustaches, 5:03 which they twirl around in a circle if 5:05 you see the thakurs of Uttar Pradesh, 5:10 now the case came up in the 5:15 court and the judgment went in favor of 5:18 the younger brother, in the evening the 5:21 younger brother was returning and he was 5:24 passing by the boundary of his elder 5:28 brother and while passing by, he 5:31 looked and he lifted up his 5:35 moustache, 5:36 indicating that I 5:39 won, the mother said to the elder one, if 5:43 you have drunk my milk, teach him a 5:47 lesson, the elder one in a rage of fury 5:51 took a lathi (a staff) and started whacking 5:55 the younger one, until he 5:57 died, now when the inquiry was done what 6:01 was the cause of this 6:04 murder, it came to light that the only 6:07 problem was that he had lifted his 6:10 mustache but the anger that resulted 6:14 from it was so 6:18 decimating. Once a father became subject 6:22 to it, he was changing the wheel of his 6:25 car while his son was on the other side 6:30 and unknown to the father the son took a 6:33 piece of stone and was scratching 6:36 something on his 6:39 BMW, after the wheel had been changed the 6:42 father came 6:44 around, you have spoiled my car, he took 6:48 the spanner and started hitting his son 6:51 on his hand so hard that he made mince 6:56 meat of the 6:58 knuckles and son had to be taken to the 7:01 hospital where the doctor said that 7:04 these are unusable now, three fingers 7:06 have to be 7:09 removed, the father was 7:12 crestfallen, later on when the son came 7:15 to consciousness and saw three fingers 7:18 missing, he said, dad, when will these 7:20 fingers grow 7:22 back, the father felt greater 7:27 regret, totally shattered he walked back 7:31 and took a look at what his son had 7:34 scratched on his 7:36 BMW, the son in his innocence had written 7:41 dad I love you, now the father caught his 7:46 head what did I 7:48 do, this is the anger which destroyed the 7:53 intellect, the first mental Greed 7:58 affliction. The second one is 8:03 greed. Greed is such a thing, anger rises 8:08 and 8:09 subsides, but greed never subsides, it 8:13 just goes on and on and 8:18 on. One sadhu, he went to a king's 8:24 court and the king said what do you want, 8:28 ask and I I'll give you, the sadhu said 8:32 maharaj, I have got my mendicant bowl, 8:36 just fill this up with jewels, the king 8:40 said that's all ? you have come to the 8:44 king of this country for and you're asking 8:46 for one bowl of jewels, ask ! The sadu said, 8:51 maharaj, greed is not good, just fill this 8:54 one 8:55 up, the king asked his servants to 8:59 bring, they kept on pouring jewels in 9:03 bowl and no matter how much they put, it was 9:07 not filling 9:10 up, the king's treasure house got emptied, 9:14 he admitted 9:15 defeat, he 9:17 said, O sage, what is the secret of your 9:23 bowl ? the sadhu said, o king, this is the 9:27 human heart, it never fills up, no matter 9:32 how much you have, you always want 9:35 more, is there any rich person who says 9:40 enough is there, any powerful person who 9:43 says enough is there, any president or 9:47 prime minister who says okay one term is 9:51 enough, even two terms, it goes on and on 9:54 and 9:55 on, no matter how much of fame,  9:59 prestige, power, wealth, opulence you get, 10:03 the nature of greed is, it wants even 10:09 more, so this then is the second mental 10:16 affliction, it is called 10:19 Lobha,  10:21 greed but 10:23 then the vedas say these two are only 10:28 Incidental, Desire 10:30 the bigger affliction is a third 10:35 one , 10:37 really, what is this third 10:40 affliction, it is 10:44 desire.  10:46 Desire ? yes, what desire, desire to see, 10:52 taste, touch, smell 10:55 hear, 10:57 desire for becoming rich and famous 11:03 etc, these desires the vedas say are the 11:07 biggest affliction of our inner 11:12 world, you can say what is wrong with 11:15 desire swami ji, in anger people commit 11:19 murder, in greed their whole life gets 11:23 wasted and in desire they're only 11:26 wanting, craving, I want rasgula, gulab 11:31 jamun, harmless 11:34 thing, no ? This 11:37 desire is the mother of anger and 11:44 greed, why does anger 11:48 arise ? when you make a 11:52 desire and it is 11:55 obstructed, it is 11:57 unfulfilled, your expectation is 12:01 unmet that leads to the outburst of 12:06 anger, you 12:09 desired that your child should be 12:11 obedient and 12:13 disciplined and the child did not 12:16 conform to your desires, it made you 12:19 angry, you desired that people should 12:23 offer me 12:24 respect, they neglected you, you became 12:27 angry. 12:29 Anger is always the consequence of an 12:33 obstructed desire, it can never come 12:37 without that, so now we have understood 12:41 when we make a desire and it is hindered, 12:46 it results in 12:48 fury, now supposing that desire is 12:53 fulfilled, then what 12:57 happens ? the 13:00 desire subsides for a little 13:05 while and then it comes back with 13:10 redoubled 13:13 intensity - that is the enigma of desires. “verse” 13:31 this is a beautiful verse of the Srimad  13:34 Bhagavatam  13:36 Mahapuran, Ved Vyas has 13:42 written, “verse”, the kamna or desire is 13:45 such it is never going to go away by 13:49 fulfilling 13:51 it, if you say you know, swami ji, 13:54 everything is all right but that one 13:56 desire I have, 13:59 if that desire gets fulfilled then I'll 14:01 have no further 14:03 desires, you are a simpleton (fool) because the 14:07 moment it is fulfilled it is going to 14:09 become 14:11 double, just like if you have an 14:14 itch, now you say I have got one little 14:17 out here, let me scratch it, ah, now I 14:20 don't have any it anywhere but does it 14:23 solve the problem after a little while 14:25 it comes back and then after a little 14:27 while it comes back so also are all 14:32 kinds of 14:35 desires 14:41 “verse”, slowly slowly as you keep fulfilling 14:45 the desires, it results in 14:49 greed, so what is 14:52 greed? Greed is an intense desire Standby link (in case youtube link does not work): BEWARE - 3 Diseases of the MIND that 99% Don't Realize Control your Mind Swami Mukundananda.mp4

Why has God put us in illusion by Swami Mukundanand

Why has God put us in illusion by Swami Mukundanand

Standby link (in case youtube link does not work): Why has God put us in illusion Swami Mukundananda.mp4

POWERFUL MOTIVATION to Increase Your Desire for God by Swami Mukundanand

POWERFUL MOTIVATION to Increase Your Desire for God by Swami Mukundanand

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg Full Text 1  there are two bhaktis: one that we do and one that we get ; the bhakti that you do, is sadhan bhakti or devotion in the practice stage and bhakti you will receive is सिद्ध भक्ति or perfect devotion, This bhakti is of the nature of a fruit. What does that mean ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg&t=0  2  This bhakti which enslaves God is not something you develop within yourself, you will receive it as a fruit. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said that you cannot attain Krishna prem (Divine Love of God) through any means.  This divine love is not that you grow it, when you cleanse your heart, it will manifest therein, just like you see the moon every day, the moon does not get made, it only manifests, so the bhakti that Naradji is talking about, you will receive it as a gift from God but this bhakti is of two kinds.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg&t=35  3  What is it that we are doing right now ? This is also bhakti but this is not the bhakti that enslaves God, that's pretty obvious isn't it ? God is not the servant of any of us, so we are doing bhakti but we are not there as yet.  So there are two bhaktis then one that we do and one that we get. Hence Srimad Bhagavatam says or Ved Vyas writes, “You do bhakti (devotion to God), and you will get bhakti (Divine Love of God), do bhakti and you get bhakti, what is the meaning of that ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg&t=109  4  You do one kind of bhakti and you will get another kind of bhakti, the bhakti that you do is sadhan bhakti, or devotion in the practice stage and the bhakti you will receive is siddha bhakti or perfect devotion.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg&t=164 5  Different terminologies have been used by different acharyas (Saints) Kripalu ji maharaj has said “sadhan bhakti” & “siddha bhakti” Narad ji in his 84 aphorism scripture, so we are on 26th aphorism, subsequently, he says this bhakti is “Mukhya” and “Gauni”,  the “Gauni” is the one that we are doing and “Mukhya” is the one that we will receive, so how is this siddha bhakti or Mukhya bhakti that enslaves even God ? some people asked Narada ji about it, so he says subsequently, “verse”  this siddha bhakti cannot be described and one who claims I will describe it, he has no knowledge of it “verse” One who is claiming to describe it, has not drowned in it and one who drowns in it, “अनिर्वचनीय” (cannot describe it) this is such a deep and vast ocean, one out of many truly intelligent people drowns in this ocean  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg&t=190 6  so people said Naradji, please give us a little hint about this bhakti, you're just saying “अनिर्वचनीय” (cannot describe it) He says, "mukaswadanavat", Look, if you give गुड़, in different languages it's jaggery, molasses you give गुड़ to a dumb man and ask him how is this ?  what will the dumb person do ? he will only indicate, he can't go beyond that, so in the same way this bhakti is so immense that nobody can describe, so naradji said "mukaswadanavat", the dumb man cannot describe,  Kripalu ji Maharaj says even somebody who is able to speak, you ask him to describe the taste of rasgulla, how will he describe it ? it's a subject of this sense of taste, how to describe it in words ? and then if you can't describe rasgulla, how will you describe that kind of bhakti ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5IUPhd6Vg&t=298 7  but Narad ji to give us a little inkling, has given a few descriptions, so he says “verse” these sutras we have already covered in the Fresno Retreat, once you get bhakti, you will become perfect, when you’ll receive siddha bhakti, God realization will take place, immortal “amrita bhavati”, tript, you will become fully satiated,  once you get it, you will have no desires you will not rejoice in worldly things, you will not lament, you will not worry, you see the whole Bhagavad-Gita is telling us to stop worrying, Arjun was worrying, right ?  and Lord Krishna when he started His lecture, He told him (Arjun) “while apparently speaking of words of wisdom, you are lamenting for that which is not worthy of grief, the wise lament neither for the living nor for the dead, so to lament, to worry, is not the sign of wisdom.

Transcript 0:00 there are two bhaktis : one that we do and 0:04 one that we get ; 0:06 the bhakti that you do, is sadhan bhakti 0:09 or devotion in the practice stage 0:14 and bhakti you will receive 0:17 is 0:19 सिद्ध भक्ति or perfect devotion, 0:23 This bhakti 0:25 is 0:26 of the nature of a fruit. 0:32 What does that mean ? 0:35 This bhakti which enslaves God 0:39 is not something you develop within 0:42 yourself, 0:45 you will receive it 0:47 as a fruit. 0:51 Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said 0:55 That you cannot attain Krishna prem (Divine Love of God) through any means. 0:56 1:07 This divine love is not that you grow it, 1:10 1:15 when you cleanse your heart, 1:18 it will manifest 1:20 therein, 1:22 just like you see the moon every day, 1:26 the moon does not get made, 1:29 it only manifests, 1:33 so the bhakti that Naradji is talking 1:36 about, 1:37 you will receive it 1:40 as a gift 1:42 from God 1:44 but 1:45 this bhakti is of two kinds. 1:49 What is it that we are doing right now ? 1:53 This is also bhakti 1:56 but this is not the bhakti that enslaves 1:59 God, that's pretty obvious isn't it ? God 2:01 is not the servant of any of us 2:05 so 2:06 we are doing bhakti 2:08 but we are not there as yet. 2:11 So there are two bhaktis then 2:15 one that we do 2:17 and one that we get. Hence Srimad Bhagavatam says or Ved Vyas writes, “You do bhakti (devotion to God),  2:35 and you will get bhakti (Divine Love of God), 2:39 do bhakti and you get bhakti, 2:42 what is the meaning of that ? 2:44 You do one kind of bhakti 2:47 and you will get another kind of bhakti, 2:51 the bhakti that you do is sadhan bhakti, 2:55 or devotion 2:57 in the practice stage 3:00 and the bhakti you will 3:02 receive is siddha bhakti 3:05 or perfect devotion. 3:10 Different terminologies have been used 3:12 by different acharyas (Saints) 3:16 Kripalu ji maharaj has said “sadhan bhakti” & “siddha bhakti” 3:21 Narad ji subsequently, it's an 84 aphorism 3:24 scripture 3:25 so we are on 26th aphorism, 3:28 subsequently, he will say this bhakti is 3:31 “Mukhya” and “Gauni”  3:34 the “Gauni” is the one that we are doing 3:37 and “Mukhya” is the one that we will 3:40 receive, 3:42 so how is this siddha bhakti or Mukhya bhakti  3:46 that enslaves even God ? 3:52 some people asked Narada ji about it, 3:55 so he says subsequently, “verse” 4:07 this siddha bhakti cannot be described 4:10 and one who claims I will describe it, he 4:14 has no knowledge of it “verse” 4:32 One who is claiming to describe it, has 4:36 not drowned in it 4:38 and one who drowns in it, “अनिर्वचनीय” (cannot describe it) 4:44 this is such a deep and vast ocean, 4:48 one out of many 4:51 truly intelligent people drowns in this 4:55 ocean, 4:58 so people said Naradji, please give us a 5:01 little hint about this bhakti, you're 5:04 just saying “अनिर्वचनीय” (cannot describe it) 5:09 He says, "mukaswadanavat", 5:13 Look, 5:14 if you give 5:16 गुड़,  5:18 in different languages it's 5:23 jaggery, molasses 5:26 you give गुड़ to a dumb man 5:30 and ask him 5:31 how is this ? 5:34 what will the dumb person do ? 5:36 he will only indicate, 5:41 he can't go beyond that, 5:44 so in the same way 5:47 this 5:48 bhakti is so immense 5:52 that nobody can describe, so naradji said 5:56 "mukaswadanavat", 5:58 the dumb man cannot describe 6:00 Kripalu ji Maharaj says 6:05 even somebody who is able to speak, 6:09 you ask him to describe the taste of 6:12 rasgulla, 6:15 how will he describe it ? 6:18 it's a subject of this 6:21 sense of taste, how to describe it in 6:25 words ? 6:26 and then if you can't describe rasgulla, 6:29 how will you describe that kind of 6:32 bhakti ? 6:34 but Narad ji 6:36 to give us a little inkling, 6:39 has given a few descriptions, 6:42 so he says “verse” 6:50 these sutras we have already covered 6:53 in the Fresno Retreat, once you get 6:55 bhakti, you will become perfect, 6:59 when you’ll receive siddha bhakti, 7:01 God realization will take place, 7:03 immortal amrita bhavati, tript, you will 7:06 become fully satiated, 7:26 once you get it, you will have no desires 7:31 you will not rejoice in worldly things, 7:34 you will not lament, 7:37 you will not worry, 7:40 you see the whole Bhagavad-Gita 7:44 is telling us to stop worrying, 7:47 Arjun was worrying, right ? 7:49 and Lord Krishna when he started His 7:51 lecture, 7:53 He told him (Arjun) 8:05 “while apparently speaking of words of 8:09 wisdom, 8:12 you are lamenting for that which is not 8:16 worthy of grief, 8:18 the wise 8:19 lament neither for the living nor for 8:23 the dead, 8:26 so to lament, to worry, is not the sign of 8:30 wisdom. 8:32 Narada says when you get this bhakti you 8:35 will get beyond all shoka (grief), all kamana (desire), all dvesh (aversion), and all raman (attachments) 8:52 when you get that bhakti you will always 8:56 see God, 8:59 you will always hear God, 9:02 you will always think of God, 9:05 and you will always desire God Standby link (in case youtube link does not work) POWERFUL MOTIVATION to Increase Your Desire for God Swami Mukundananda.mp4
