He's 3:21 inspired me to give you 1,000 rupees." 3:25 The billionaire will say, "I have got 3:27 1,000 million." What is this 1,000? 3:30 He will, look at it with disdain (contempt). No big 3:33 deal. 3:35 Likewise when we are running after 3:39 material happiness and we get a higher 3:42 happiness. 3:44 Oh wow. 3:46 I was living in a condominium (small flat) in Irving 3:50 and now I got a bungalow house in Allen. 3:53 It's a promotion. 3:56 Like Indians when they first come to 3:58 Dallas they come to Irving and live in 4:00 condos, right? I have found something truly 4:31 valuable 4:33 That value is the thing. What have you 4:37 valued? 4:39 Bharat we have heard of. One Bharat was the 4:43 brother of Ram. 4:46 And there was another Bharat 4:49 the son of Shakuntala. 4:51 And there was a third Bharat the son of 4:55 Rishab Dev 4:57 of Jad Bharat fame. So Rishab Dev had 5:02 100 sons. 5:05 81 of them became Karma-kandis. 5:09 Nine became the Yogeshwar 5:12 and Bharat and nine brothers, Rishabdev 5:17 made them kings of different places on 5:20 the planet. 5:21 So Bharat was the eldest and he had the 5:25 ambition I wish to become chakravarti 5:29 emperor. 5:31 So he went out on a dig vijayi yatra. They used 5:35 to have this chariot driving that 5:38 anybody stops then we will fight them in 5:40 battle. If they give way they have 5:43 accepted subjugation. So you subjugate 5:46 all the other kings and become emperor. 5:51 So all the other brothers said you know 5:53 Bharat is so powerful. Sure. 5:57 One of the brothers was Bahubali. 6:00 He said I got this kingdom from my 6:03 father who is Bharat to cast his greedy 6:07 eyes on it. So Bahubali said I am 6:10 willing to battle you. 6:13 And people said look Bharat and Bahubali 6:16 are brothers. So why engage 6:18 in bloodshed? Let us do a compromise. 6:22 You both do a malyudh, a wrestling match 6:25 and whoever wins will be declared the 6:28 winner. 6:30 So it was agreed it would be a fight 6:33 without any weapons 6:36 and the fight began. Now Bhat was bigger 6:40 but Bahubali was more brawny 6:43 and they reached a stage where Bharat 6:47 realized he's going to lose. 6:50 So he did a cheating. He left his kingdom. He left 7:56 everything and became a sadhu. Took 7:58 sanyas. 8:00 So for him this kingdom is now nothing. 8:04 He values something else beyond that, 8:08 his respect to the elders. 8:11 So this is when you feel that these 8:14 things cannot disturb me. And when you 8:16 have got that kind of happiness 8:20 then what happens? Nothing can disturb. 8:25 See if the stream is very 8:28 shallow 8:30 then it keeps on drowning others 8:33 a little extra water and it's inundating 8:36 here inundating there but if the ocean 8:39 is so deep 8:42 then it doesn't drown anyone it doesn't 8:44 inundate anyone 8:47 likewise Shri Krishna says that when you 8:50 have that kind of happiness “ये लब्ध्वा चापरे लाभं मन्यते नाधिक” “Having obtained which, one considers no other gain superior to it; and established in which, one is not moved even by great sorrow” https://vedabase.io/en/library/bg/6/20-23/  8:58 You will think there is nothing greater 9:00 than this. And 9:06 even if you get a big misery, 9:10 you will not feel disturbed. 9:14 This is something worth practicing. 9:18 What is that? to be peaceful in the 9:23 midst of disturbing circumstances. 9:27 Now when the circumstances are not 9:29 disturbing and people are at peace that 9:33 anybody can do. 9:35 When the circumstances are adverse 9:39 and still you are at peace then you are 9:42 a sadhak then you are practicing mind 9:46 control. 9:48 So we people 9:50 have a long way to go because we allow 9:54 little things to disturb our peace. 9:58 Somebody created one sentence joining a 10:03 few letters “tu gadha hai”  10:07 some crazy guy 10:10 said “you are a donkey”. Now by his saying 10:13 do we become a donkey? Of course not. 10:16 But why do we allow that to disturb our 10:19 peace? 10:20 Because we have not yet found the peace 10:24 that surpasseth all understanding. 10:28 That peace is not dependent on 10:32 externals. 10:34 It is within us. It will require getting 10:39 a taste of the higher bliss. That is 10:43 what Sri Krishna has said out here. 10:49 So Socrates used to do an interesting 10:52 thing. 10:55 He would go to the marketplace in Athens 10:57 and look around 11:00 and he would not buy anything. He would 11:03 just look around and come back. 11:06 So somebody asked that every day you go 11:08 to the market, what do you do? You don't 11:11 purchase anything. 11:13 Socrates said I like to think of the 11:16 number of things I can do without. 11:19 I am able to do without this, able to do 11:21 without that etc. This able to do. That is the 11:24 achievement. That is the accomplishment.

1:06 Sometimes people ask Swami ji why do you 1:10 all say Radhe Radhe? 1:13 Why don't you say Krishna Krishna? 1:16 Because Radha is the mother. 1:30 See even in the world between the mother 1:34 and the father the position of the 1:37 mother is higher because of her love 1:41 because of her sacrifice. So Tulsidas ji also in the Vinay Patrika 3:42 he first prays to Ram and then he sees 3:45 the father is not responding. 3:48 So he decides the mother is more kind. 3:50 She's got a softer heart. Well, he then 3:54 prays to Sita. 4:15 Oh my dear mother if ever you get a 4:18 chance please tell my case to father if 4:23 you give the recommendation there's a 4:25 good chance so whether it is Radha or 4:30 Sita or Parvati they are the divine 4:33 mother the Yogmaya and they are 4:36 not different from the Shaktimaan “गिरा अरथ जल बिची सम कहिअत भिन्न न भिन्न”! (see note below) 4:45 The Shaktimaan and the Shakti are two 4:49 aspects of the one divine entity. 4:53 See the name of Radha comes in this way 4:58 because Shukadev, the speaker of Srimad Bhagavatam, his 5:01 original personality is, he's a leela 5:04 shuk (parrot). He is the parrot in Radh Krishna 5:07 pastimes from Radha ji's side. He has 5:10 such love for Radha. If he says Radha, he 5:13 will faint and he has to complete the 5:15 Srimad Bhagavatam in seven days, as Takshak, the snake, is 5:19 going to come (& bite Parikshit to death). So he says I cannot 5:21 faint. That's why he doesn't directly 5:23 say Radha but indirectly he mentions 5:28 this Gopi has done Vishesh Aradhana (special worship) 5:30 So Krishna took Radha and disappeared. 5:34 Now the gopis realize their folly. I 5:38 messed up my devotion. 5:42 Don't we all feel from time to time? The 5:44 mind was absolutely perfect. Now what 5:46 happened? So the gopis they repented, 5:49 they cried, they were searching for 5:52 Krishna from forest to forest going in 5:54 the night 5:56 and Krishna is going with Radha. 6:00 However, Radha 6:03 decided that you know my sakhis are in so 6:07 much of pain of separation. This is not 6:10 good. So Radha created the abhinaya (drama) the 6:14 acting of pride. 6:17 She said to Krishna that I am tired. So 6:20 Krishna said let me hold your hand. No 6:23 you put me on your back and carry me. 6:28 Krishna said really so ? this abhiman has 6:32 come into you as well. So Krishna bent 6:35 down & said lift your leg. Radha ji 6:39 lifted her leg and Krishna disappeared. 6:43 He left Radha as well. Now the gopis 6:47 were searching. They're seeing two steps 6:50 of footsteps. 6:52 Searching searching searching until they 6:53 find one step of footsteps. What 6:56 happened? Where did Radha go? And there 7:00 they found Radharani. 7:02 So they came to her. What happened? She 7:05 said, you know, I did vyabhichar. I did 7:08 wrong thinking and this is the 7:10 punishment. So Radha combined with the 7:13 gopis and now they cried for Krishna. 7:18 So the verses that they spoke 7:22 is the Gopi Geet. 7:25 So the Gopi Geet 19 verses now this is 7:28 the mukut mani (peak of devotion), it shows the essence of 7:32 devotion. It is not possible to cover 7:35 this here. Rest assured that the gopis 7:38 express the highest sentiments of 7:40 devotion. Just to give you a sample let 7:43 me tell you one “verse” of Srimad Bhagavatam 10.31.15 8:04 The gopis say, "O Shayam Sundar, 8:10 when you used to go grazing the cows in 8:13 the forest and we could not see you 8:17 during the daytime, 8:19 the pain that would burn in our heart, a 8:24 moment would seem like an age long. 8:37 When will He come? When will He come? 8:38 And finally when You would return to braj 8:42 with the cows 8:44 and we would stand there and have darshan 8:48 at that time we would curse Brahma, 8:55 This Brahma has got an inert intellect. 8:59 He has given only two eyes for darshan 9:02 Flies have thousands of eyes. He could 9:05 have given us many eyes. 9:07 And even on those eyes he has created 9:09 eyelids. 9:11 So when we look and the eyelids blink 9:14 the darshan gets disturbed. Now the eyelids 9:17 do blink. We don't realize it's a nimesh 9:19 matra only (only for a little while). But even that is intolerable to 9:23 the gopis. 9:25 So now gopis say the last verse of Gopi Geet “verse’ 9:46 Oh Shyam Sundar, 9:48 when burning in pain to meet you, we 9:52 would finally find you and get the 9:55 opportunity to place Your foot on our 9:59 chest. 10:00 We would be so careful 10:03 that our breast is hard. It should not 10:07 hurt you. 10:09 That is our sentiment to You. 10:12 And You walk in the forest 10:16 barefoot. 10:18 You see Krishna being a cowherd. 10:22 When He would walk 10:24 the niyam (rule) for go charan is you go 10:29 barefoot. 10:31 Now the forest is a difficult place. 10:35 There are all these thorns and pebbles 10:38 etc. Yashoda once asked Krishna look 10:42 I'll put shoes on, at least you walk with 10:44 shoes. Krishna said when I am doing go 10:49 charan the cows are my worshipable they 10:53 are my isht. 10:55 The isht dev is not wearing shoes and the bhakt 10:58 wears shoes. How can that be? So Krishna 11:01 always refused. The gopis say we would 11:04 just think of Your feet falling there 11:07 and it would pain us so much. They are 11:10 expressing their selflessness. 11:13 So finally Krishna melted. 11:17 He manifested from a bush. 11:20 The gopis saw here He is. We are 11:23 running here and there from forest to 11:24 forest. Here He is. They all ran to grab 11:28 him. Note: “गिरा अरथ जल बिची सम कहिअत भिन्न न भिन्न”! पद का विश्लेषण: • गिरा = वाणी (शब्द) • अरथ = अर्थ (भाव) • जल बिची सम = जल और उसकी तरंगों के समान • कहिअत भिन्न न भिन्न = कहा जाता है कि वे अलग हैं, पर वास्तव में अलग नहीं हैं ✨ भावार्थ (Meaning): जैसे जल और उसकी तरंगें अलग दिखती हैं, पर वास्तव में एक ही होती हैं, वैसे ही वाणी और उसका अर्थ अलग प्रतीत होते हैं, परंतु वे एक ही हैं। यह पंक्ति यह दर्शाती है कि शब्द और भाव में अद्वैत है। जब कोई संत या भक्त वाणी में भाव प्रकट करता है, तो वह केवल शब्द नहीं होता—वह भाव की तरंग होती है। वाणी और अर्थ का यह अद्वैत संबंध रस की अनुभूति में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। 🕊️ आध्यात्मिक संदर्भ: 

भक्ति में जब नाम लिया जाता है—जैसे "राधे राधे" या "श्याम"—तो वह केवल उच्चारण नहीं होता, वह उस भाव का साक्षात अनुभव होता है। जैसे जल की तरंग जल से अलग नहीं होती, वैसे ही नाम और नामी में भेद नहीं होता।
