The UNTOLD Power of Shree Radha – What Every Krishna Devotee MUST Know by Swami Mukundanand

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw Main Points:

1. 1:06–1:16 — Devotees say “Radhe Radhe” because Radha is the divine mother, whose grace leads to Krishna. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=66 2. 1:30–1:54 — Just as a mother’s love surpasses the father’s in worldly life, Radha’s spiritual position is higher than Krishna’s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=90 3. 2:04–3:23 — A story illustrates how only the mother can help a child recognize the father—symbolizing Radha’s role in revealing Krishna. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=124 4. 3:36–4:15 — Saints like Tulsidas turned to Sita when Ram didn’t respond, trusting the mother’s compassion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=216 5. 4:45–5:23 — Radha and Krishna are one divine entity; Shukadev couldn’t utter Radha’s name directly due to overwhelming love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=285 6. 5:30–6:43 — Radha feigned (pretended) pride to relieve her sakhis’ pain, leading Krishna to disappear, deepening the gopis’ longing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=330 7. 5:46–7:18 — Radha repents and joins the gopis in crying for Krishna, birthing the divine Gopi Geet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=346 8. 8:04–9:23 — Gopis express intense separation, cursing Brahma for giving only two blinking eyes that hinder darshan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=484 9. 9:46–11:10 — Their selfless love peaks in concern for Krishna’s bare feet in thorny forests but refusing to even let their breasts hurt Him, as they would be too hard for His feet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=586 10. 11:13–11:28 — Moved by their devotion, Krishna reappears from a bush, ending their divine search. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=673 Full Text:
1:06 Sometimes people ask Swami ji why do you 1:10 all say Radhe Radhe? 1:13 Why don't you say Krishna Krishna? 1:16 Because Radha is the mother. 1:30 See even in the world between the mother 1:34 and the father the position of the 1:37 mother is higher because of her love 1:41 because of her sacrifice. So the 1:44 spiritual mother and the spiritual 1:46 father Radha and Krishna Sitha and Ram 1:52 between the two of them the mother's 1:54 position is higher 1:59 One boy and his mother, 2:04 When the boy was a four year-old, the 2:07 father had gone away 2:10 to earn a living 2:13 and he stayed in a foreign land for 15 2:17 years. 2:18 Finally, he sent the message that I am 2:21 returning. 2:23 So the mother and the child, he was now 2:27 19 years old, they were both really 2:31 excited. 2:32 They were living in a little village in 2:34 India. 2:36 When they got that letter, 2:39 the father said, "I'm coming back 2:43 by this train." 2:45 So they went to the railway station so 2:47 eager to meet the father. 2:51 The train was arriving at the platform. 2:54 There were people standing. 2:56 This young man was now so excited. he 3:00 would be meeting his father after 15 3:02 years. As the train approached, he 3:05 started running 3:07 and the mother smiled 3:10 that my child 3:12 until I point him out to you, you won't 3:16 even be able to recognize your father. 3:21 It is the mother who says, "Look, this 3:23 is your father." 3:25 So when we say Radhe Radhe, 3:28 what we mean to say is, the full thing is Radhe Radhe Shyam milade. 3:33 Oh divine mother please help me meet the 3:36 father. So Tulsidas ji also in the Vinay Patrika 3:42 he first prays to Ram and then he sees 3:45 the father is not responding. 3:48 So he decides the mother is more kind. 3:50 She's got a softer heart. Well, he then 3:54 prays to Sita. 4:15 Oh my dear mother if ever you get a 4:18 chance please tell my case to father if 4:23 you give the recommendation there's a 4:25 good chance so whether it is Radha or 4:30 Sita or Parvati they are the divine 4:33 mother the Yogmaya and they are 4:36 not different from the Shaktimaan “गिरा अरथ जल बिची सम कहिअत भिन्न न भिन्न”! (see note below) 4:45 The Shaktimaan and the Shakti are two 4:49 aspects of the one divine entity. 4:53 See the name of Radha comes in this way 4:58 because Shukadev, the speaker of Srimad Bhagavatam, his 5:01 original personality is, he's a leela 5:04 shuk (parrot). He is the parrot in Radh Krishna 5:07 pastimes from Radha ji's side. He has 5:10 such love for Radha. If he says Radha, he 5:13 will faint and he has to complete the 5:15 Srimad Bhagavatam in seven days, as Takshak, the snake, is 5:19 going to come (& bite Parikshit to death). So he says I cannot 5:21 faint. That's why he doesn't directly 5:23 say Radha but indirectly he mentions 5:28 this Gopi has done Vishesh Aradhana (special worship) 5:30 So Krishna took Radha and disappeared. 5:34 Now the gopis realize their folly. I 5:38 messed up my devotion. 5:42 Don't we all feel from time to time? The 5:44 mind was absolutely perfect. Now what 5:46 happened? So the gopis they repented, 5:49 they cried, they were searching for 5:52 Krishna from forest to forest going in 5:54 the night 5:56 and Krishna is going with Radha. 6:00 However, Radha 6:03 decided that you know my sakhis are in so 6:07 much of pain of separation. This is not 6:10 good. So Radha created the abhinaya (drama) the 6:14 acting of pride. 6:17 She said to Krishna that I am tired. So 6:20 Krishna said let me hold your hand. No 6:23 you put me on your back and carry me. 6:28 Krishna said really so ? this abhiman has 6:32 come into you as well. So Krishna bent 6:35 down & said lift your leg. Radha ji 6:39 lifted her leg and Krishna disappeared. 6:43 He left Radha as well. Now the gopis 6:47 were searching. They're seeing two steps 6:50 of footsteps. 6:52 Searching searching searching until they 6:53 find one step of footsteps. What 6:56 happened? Where did Radha go? And there 7:00 they found Radharani. 7:02 So they came to her. What happened? She 7:05 said, you know, I did vyabhichar. I did 7:08 wrong thinking and this is the 7:10 punishment. So Radha combined with the 7:13 gopis and now they cried for Krishna. 7:18 So the verses that they spoke 7:22 is the Gopi Geet. 7:25 So the Gopi Geet 19 verses now this is 7:28 the mukut mani (peak of devotion), it shows the essence of 7:32 devotion. It is not possible to cover 7:35 this here. Rest assured that the gopis 7:38 express the highest sentiments of 7:40 devotion. Just to give you a sample let 7:43 me tell you one “verse” of Srimad Bhagavatam 10.31.15 8:04 The gopis say, "O Shayam Sundar, 8:10 when you used to go grazing the cows in 8:13 the forest and we could not see you 8:17 during the daytime, 8:19 the pain that would burn in our heart, a 8:24 moment would seem like an age long. 8:37 When will He come? When will He come? 8:38 And finally when You would return to braj 8:42 with the cows 8:44 and we would stand there and have darshan 8:48 at that time we would curse Brahma, 8:55 This Brahma has got an inert intellect. 8:59 He has given only two eyes for darshan 9:02 Flies have thousands of eyes. He could 9:05 have given us many eyes. 9:07 And even on those eyes he has created 9:09 eyelids. 9:11 So when we look and the eyelids blink 9:14 the darshan gets disturbed. Now the eyelids 9:17 do blink. We don't realize it's a nimesh 9:19 matra only (only for a little while). But even that is intolerable to 9:23 the gopis. 9:25 So now gopis say the last verse of Gopi Geet “verse’ 9:46 Oh Shyam Sundar, 9:48 when burning in pain to meet you, we 9:52 would finally find you and get the 9:55 opportunity to place Your foot on our 9:59 chest. 10:00 We would be so careful 10:03 that our breast is hard. It should not 10:07 hurt you. 10:09 That is our sentiment to You. 10:12 And You walk in the forest 10:16 barefoot. 10:18 You see Krishna being a cowherd. 10:22 When He would walk 10:24 the niyam (rule) for go charan is you go 10:29 barefoot. 10:31 Now the forest is a difficult place. 10:35 There are all these thorns and pebbles 10:38 etc. Yashoda once asked Krishna look 10:42 I'll put shoes on, at least you walk with 10:44 shoes. Krishna said when I am doing go 10:49 charan the cows are my worshipable they 10:53 are my isht. 10:55 The isht dev is not wearing shoes and the bhakt 10:58 wears shoes. How can that be? So Krishna 11:01 always refused. The gopis say we would 11:04 just think of Your feet falling there 11:07 and it would pain us so much. They are 11:10 expressing their selflessness. 11:13 So finally Krishna melted. 11:17 He manifested from a bush. 11:20 The gopis saw here He is. We are 11:23 running here and there from forest to 11:24 forest. Here He is. They all ran to grab 11:28 him.

Main Points: 1. 0:04 – True devotion is expressed through seva (service); mere words are insufficient, action is the real proof of devotion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=4 2. 0:43 – Serving the guru is essential; seva demonstrates actual surrender rather than just claiming to be surrendered https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=43 3. 1:43 – Where one’s treasure is, there the heart and surrender will naturally follow, whether it is the spouse, a social cause, or the guru https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=103 4. 2:27 – Illustrative story: A guru asks his disciple (a cloth shop owner) repeatedly for cloth to cover a sacred book, but the disciple defers, while the wife promptly arranges it—showing where true surrender and seva lie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=147 5. 5:02 – Seva signifies where surrender is manifest; it is necessary for spiritual knowledge transfer and opens one up to divine grace https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=302 6. 6:14 – Seva is of four kinds: greatest is atma-samarpan (total self-surrender), followed by mental seva, physical seva, and material/wealth seva https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=374 7. 6:55 – Physical seva can be challenging due to worldly duties, so offering even part of one’s earnings is the foundational form, gradually elevating to higher forms https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=415 8. 8:03 – By offering possessions, the attitude towards work shifts to Karma Yoga, as work is done with the mood of offering to the guru or Krishna https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=483 9. 8:15 – The ideal attitude is humility—thinking nothing offered is truly worthy, feeling gratitude for the opportunity to serve, and surrendering the pride of having served https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=495 10. 10:42 – Example of Raheem and Tulsidas: Raheem lowered his eyes while giving charity, reflecting the true mood that one is not the giver, but a divine instrument; genuine seva is humble and egoless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4DfBvaZbNw&t=642 Full Text

0:00 If you really think God is your 0:02 everything 0:04 then prove it. So the expression of that 0:08 devotion is the seva. 0:12 The ideal bhav of seva 0:16 is what? 0:40 Now the next point he says in regard to 0:43 the guru you do seva of your guru. 0:48 And what is the importance of the seva? 0:53 Seva makes the surrender practical. 0:57 When we say guru dev I am surrendered 1:00 to you. Seva means we are walking the 1:05 talk. Not merely talking but doing it as 1:10 well. And the test of that is seva. 1:16 Without seva there is no samaran. 1:20 People go into the temple and they will 1:24 offer a coconut to God and say 1:31 just with one coconut you're making God “Tvameva mata ca pita tvameva" (You are my mother & father)? 1:36 If you really think God is your 1:38 everything 1:40 then prove it. 1:43 The Bible says where your treasure is, 1:48 that is where your heart will be. 1:52 Whatever you consider as your treasure, 1:55 that is where you will start 1:57 surrendering yourself. If you have great 2:01 interest, if the closest thing to your 2:05 heart is your spouse, that is where you 2:08 will surrender your wealth. If you have 2:11 great compassion for the AIDS victims in 2:14 Africa, that is where your wealth will 2:17 go. And if your love in your life is 2:21 towards your guru, that is where your 2:24 wealth will go. 2:27 One Guru dev, his son had a cloth shop. 2:35 So Guru dev he used to read his Bhagwad 2:39 Gita and thought I need to cover this 2:42 Bhagwad Gita with a cloth. 2:45 He went to his disciples shop 2:49 and he said to the disciple beta I need 2:52 2 m of cloth. 2:56 The disciple said Gurudev you can see 2:58 that it's all busy today. You come after 3:00 2 weeks I will arrange it for you. 3:04 Gurudev went off. He came back after 2 3:07 weeks. Beta, you remember I had come a 3:10 fortnight ago for 2 m of cloth. The 3:14 disciple said, "Guru Dave, today is a 3:16 wrong day. You have again by chance come 3:18 on a wrong day. Please come after 2 3:20 weeks." 3:22 Now the guru kept on visiting three four 3:25 times. And the disciples wife she saw 3:29 that what is the matter? Why does guru 3:31 keep coming? She called him aside and 3:34 Asked guru dev why do you keep visiting our shop? 3:38 He said beti you see I have to cover the 3:42 Bhagwad Gita and I need 2 m cloth so I 3:46 come to your husband's shop for that 3:48 reason. 3:51 The wife said guru dev don't you worry 3:54 tomorrow at 900 a.m. you come here and 3:57 it will be ready for you all packed. 4:02 Guru went back. At night when her husband, 4:05 the shop owner, he returned, the wife 4:08 said, "My dear husband, I need two 4:11 bundles of the most luxurious cloth in 4:14 your shop." 4:16 He said, "Srimati ji, I have downed the 4:20 shutter. Tomorrow when I open the shop, 4:22 I will arrange it for you." She said, "I 4:25 want it today." arey baba, I am 4:27 exhausted. I'm telling you, I'll give it 4:30 to you. No, I need it today. 4:33 Now the high command has said it. So he 4:36 went, he opened the shutter, he took out 4:39 two luxurious bundles and gave them to 4:42 his wife. 4:44 Next day when the guru came at 9:00, the 4:48 wife said, "Guruv, you wanted 2 m. Here 4:52 are two bundles of cloth." 4:55 So where do you think was the surrender 4:57 of this person? to his guru or to his 5:00 wife. 5:02 Wherever the seva is happening, that is 5:05 where the surrender is happening. So 5:08 this seva is also necessary 5:12 because the transfer of knowledge from 5:15 the guru is not a material thing. 5:20 In the world, it is all material. 5:24 So this online course this portal 5:28 what is the cost of it? All right 5:31 admission fee is paid and you have right 5:33 to the knowledge. 5:35 So similarly say guru dev what is the 5:38 price of the knowledge you're giving? Is 5:40 there some discount rate available? 5:44 Guru says look this is priceless 5:46 knowledge because it's divine knowledge. 5:49 You can attract it. You will receive it 5:54 not by purchasing but by grace. Your job 5:59 is to draw the grace to you 6:04 by your bhakti, by your devotion. 6:08 So the expression of that devotion is 6:12 the seva. 6:14 The seva  6:17 is of four kinds. 6:20 Tan, Man, Dhan  6:21 and Atma Samarpan. So the highest is the 6:25 Atma Samarpan. You just surrender your 6:29 soul and everything associated with it. 6:34 Yogi SriKrishna Prem he said in this 6:36 world of dust and din (noise) if anyone has 6:40 given complete atmahuti (sacrificed), 6:42 merging himself in the flame of love 6:45 Divine, there is an explosion called 6:48 grace for no true atmahuti (sacrificed) can ever go in 6:53 vain. 6:55 This is atma seva. But how will you do 6:59 atma samarpan? 7:01 The soul is enmeshed with the mind. So 7:05 when the mind develops the seva bhav 7:09 that is when the soul will be 7:10 surrendered. 7:12 So then below that is manasi seva, in the 7:17 Mind, the desire to serve. 7:21 Now the mind doesn't remain there. It 7:24 wanders around in the world. 7:28 So what to do? The next step with the 7:32 Tan (तन), with the body, whatever seva you 7:36 can do with your body whether you're 7:38 cleaning the floor or something you're 7:40 doing that seva but with the body we are 7:45 working in the world 7:47 you have got your job minimum 40 to 50 7:50 hours a week and if you are in IT etc 7:53 then 60 to 70 hours a week that's the 7:56 reality of today's corporate world so 7:59 how do you get time to serve the guru 8:01 with the body. 8:03 So then you start with the lowest step. 8:06 The lowest step is the dhana seva, what you 8:09 are earning with your body you offer a 8:12 little bit of that. 8:15 So that offering that Kripalu ji maharaj saying 8:21 when you start offering the material 8:25 wealth, possessions, opulances, 8:30 it creates a situation of karma yog 8:34 because now your attitude to work 8:37 changes. I am not working for my 8:43 bhukti (enjoyment). I am working so that I can 8:47 offer to my guru. So even while working 8:51 you're thinking I am doing it for my 8:53 guru. The guru then he encourages us. He 8:58 wants us to reach karm yog. 9:03 Oh my god my guru is very greedy. So it 9:08 is for us to understand, the guru is 9:11 giving us an opportunity to achieve the 9:14 state of karm yog. 9:17 Now the mind starts going towards God 9:22 then the atma samarpan happens. So the 9:25 step starts from below. You start with 9:28 your bodily possessions then with the 9:31 body itself and then the mind also 9:34 comes. But in doing this seva, 9:38 the service, 9:42 there are certain points to be kept in 9:44 mind. 9:47 The ideal bhav of seva 9:51 is that 9:52 while serving to think 9:56 I don't have anything worthy of offering 10:01 to the guru. 10:03 It is his grace that he is accepting it 10:08 while giving and giving and giving 10:12 to think, oh my god, I'm getting and 10:14 getting and getting 10:17 I'm getting the opportunity to serve 10:22 and while serving 10:24 to also give away the pride of having 10:27 served. 10:29 I have done nothing. Guru, in this age of 10:33 Kaliyug, he ensured that I do some samarpan, 10:37 otherwise my mischievous mind would 10:39 never have done it. 10:42 We should take inspiration from the 10:44 saints. 10:46 Raheem khan khana, you have probably heard 10:50 his name. 10:52 He was a Mohammadan nobleman and he had 10:56 devotion to Lord Krishna. 10:59 So he used to profusely give what he had 11:02 in charity whatever he would get. 11:06 Only thing is 11:08 when he would give 11:11 he would lower his eyes 11:14 and then give. 11:16 This news reached Tulsidas ji. He was a 11:20 contemporary of Tulsidas both in the 11:22 medieval bhakti period of India. 11:26 So Tulsidas wrote him a message. 11:42 He said, "Where have you learned this 11:45 style of giving in charity? While your 11:49 hands engage in higher and higher 11:51 activity, your eyes go lower and lower." 11:58 He asked for an explanation. 12:07 And then Raheem 12:10 answered. 12:12 Raheem's answer was a classic one. He 12:15 said 12:23 the giver is somebody else. 12:26 But people are thinking I am the giver. 12:45 People are saying Raheem is so 12:47 charitable. Raheem is so charitable. 12:49 They don't realize that it is somebody 12:51 else who is the giver. And that is why 12:55 in embarrassment I lower my eyes.

The ONE Life-Changing Decision You Can Make Today: #1 Step to Achieve Big Goals | Swami Mukundananda

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ

Main Points: 1. 0:02 – 0:20 → Small decisions made consistently create a big difference through the law of incremental growth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=0 2. 0:30 – 0:52 → Example: Two friends must choose between $3 million today or a penny doubling for 31 days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=30 3. 1:15 – 1:46 → Initially, the doubling penny looks worthless compared to millions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=75 4. 2:02 – 2:33 → By the 20th day, still only $5,243—appears insignificant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=122 5. 2:26 – 2:56 → But by the 29th day $2.7M, 30th $5.4M, and 31st $10.7M—showing the power of compounding. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=146 6. 3:07 – 3:37 → Applied to life: three friends (Ram Dutt, Shiv Dutt, Vishnu Dutt) start with similar jobs and lifestyles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=187 7. 3:40 – 4:27 → Ram Dutt makes positive small changes (less calories, daily inspiration), Vishnu Dutt makes negative ones (extra calories, thrillers), Shiv Dutt does nothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=220 8. 5:36 – 6:18 → In 18–31 months: Ram Dutt becomes fit, inspired, and progressing; Vishnu Dutt gains weight, loses energy, and faces stress; Shiv Dutt remains stagnant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=336 9. 6:18 – 8:12 → Vishnu Dutt’s small indulgences lead to poor health, stress, job risk, and strained relationships. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=378 10. 8:31 – 9:16 → Meanwhile, Ram Dutt’s small positive corrections bring health, success, and respect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=511 11. 9:44 – 10:28 → Lesson: people overestimate big one-day change but underestimate small daily change repeated over time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=584 12. 12:20 – 13:23 → Like a merry-go-round, small pushes build momentum; once momentum is there, life sails ahead—small consistent decisions create massive results. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6ISqA3yXQ&t=740 Full Text
Intro 0:02 The little decisions 0:05 when they are repeatedly made they make 0:09 a big difference. 0:13 The law of incremental growth states 0:16 that one step at a time you move towards 0:20 the ultimate goal. 0:23 How does it happen? How does it happen 0:30 Consider this example. 0:34 You may have heard of it. 0:37 There were two friends 0:40 Ram Dutt and Shiv Dutt. 0:43 They were given a choice. 0:46 either take 0:48 $3 million today 0:52 or take one penny which will keep 0:55 doubling for 31 days. So Ram Dutt said $3 1:00 million 1:03 a bird in hand is better than two 1:06 in the bush. 1:08 And Shiv Dutt said no I'll go for the 1:12 doubling penny. 1:15 After 5 days Shiv Dutt had reached 16 pence 1:21 You see the second day it became 2 then 1:24 four then 8 then 16. 1:28 So Ram Dutt is gloating away. I've got 3 1:31 million. You've got 16 pence. What a wrong 1:35 choice you made. 1:38 After 10 days, now it became 32,64 1:42 128. He has reached $5 & 12 cents 1:50 in front of 3 million. My god, you had 1:55 absolutely no sense to go for such an 1:59 alternative. 2:02 After 20 days, 2:05 he has reached $5,243. 2:13 Still nowhere near 3 million. Ram Dutt is 2:16 confident my decision was the right one. 2:22 But that keeps on doubling. 2:26 And on the 29th day he has reached $2.7 2:30 million. 2:33 It's a compounding growth. He is drawing 2:37 close.  2:42 On the 30th day he has overtaken with 2:45 5.4 million. And on the 31st day, he has 2:50 blown him away with $10.7 million. 2:56 This is how a little change done 3:00 continuously over time makes such a big 3:04 difference. 3:07 Now apply this to your life. Consider 3:13 there are three friends now to Ram Dutt 3:16 and Shiv Dutt. You add one Vishnu Dutt as  3:19 well. 3:21 They are all in their early 30s. 3:26 They are recently married. They are a little bit 3:29 plump but nothing out of shape. 3:31 They all have got nice steady jobs in 3:34 the middle management level about 80,000 3:37 a year. 3:40 Life is going on all right for three of 3:42 them. Now they make a little correction 3:45 in their life. 3:48 Ram Dutt started coming for Swami ji's life 3:51 transformation program 3:54 where he learned the art of mind 3:56 management and received some inspiration 3:59 and some knowledge about good health. So 4:02 he became conscious that health is 4:05 wealth. He decided I will reduce my 4:08 intake of calories by 125 every day. 4:14 That's not a big deal, right? 125 4:16 calories less. And also for half an 4:20 hours he is listening to Swami ji's art 4:22 of mind management and getting inspired 4:25 through YouTube. 4:27 So his mentality, his perspective is Reverse correction 4:30 changing. 4:33 Now on the other hand, 4:36 Vishnu Dutt did a reverse correction. 4:39 He learned how to cook cakes and 4:42 pastries and his friends and relatives 4:45 loved it. So once in a week he calls 4:48 them for a party 4:50 and he's into cooking. So he has 4:54 increased his intake of calories by 125 4:58 every day. Again, not a big deal. 125 5:01 how does it matter but his extra spare 5:06 time while Ram Dutt is watching art of mind 5:09 management Vishnu Dutt is watching 5:12 thrillers on TV so what half an hour 5:15 waste of time “chalta hai” 5:19 Shiv Dutt he is remaining as he is 5:24 now after five months if you see this 5:28 Ram Dutt and Shiv Dutt and Vishnu Dutt are 5:30 practically the same. They made a little 5:33 correction. It's not visible anywhere. 5:36 What is the difference? 5:39 But it keeps on adding up day after day, 5:43 month after month, year after year. 5:47 After 18 months, the difference is 5:51 visible. Ram Dutt's eyes are brighter. 5:56 His health seems to be in better shape. 6:00 He seems to be becoming little slim and 6:02 trim 6:04 and Shiv Dutt is remaining like the same 6:07 but Vishnu Dutt seems to be getting a 6:10 little out of shape. The effulgence on 6:14 his face is disappearing etc. 6:18 After 31 months the difference is so 6:23 visible. 6:25 Ram Dutt has lost 20 lb and he is fit. 6:31 Shiv Dutt he is the way he was and Vishnu Dutt 6:36 has gained 20 lb. 6:39 But the matter doesn't stop out here. 6:43 There's a ripple effect from that 6:45 because he has gained 20 lb now he needs 6:48 more sleep. 6:50 So in the morning when he has to wake up 6:53 and go to office he becomes groggy 6:57 and that's why his performance in this 6:59 cutting edge environment has reduced. 7:03 The consequence is his boss is annoyed 7:06 with him and pulls him up. Your 7:09 performance is not up to mark. Your job 7:12 is in danger. 7:14 When he comes back home from office he's 7:17 stressed out. 7:19 How does he entertain himself through 7:22 the thrillers on TV? He never heard the 7:25 art of mind management. So he doesn't 7:27 have the tools of how to manage his 7:29 mind. 7:31 And the consequence is that the only way 7:33 he can take out his stress is to become 7:36 a couch potato. He sits in front of the 7:39 TV and drowns his tensions by looking at 7:41 thrillers. And those thrillers don't 7:44 solve his problem in any case. 7:48 But this is also bearing upon his 7:51 marital relationship because his wife 7:55 understands he is no longer the same 7:57 person and she feels that the distance 8:00 is getting created. 8:03 She is also responding by more cold 8:06 behavior. 8:07 So the relationship has got strained 8:12 and naturally because of the increased 8:15 weight the health has reduced. 8:18 Now I imagine on day one when he made a 8:22 little change, would you ever have 8:26 thought that the situation would reach 8:28 this point one day? 8:31 And on the other hand, take a look at 8:34 Ram Dutt. The little correction he made. 8:39 He is now in good health. He has his 8:42 mind in a perfect state. So he's very 8:46 amenable (happy to accept everything). People realize that positive 8:49 energy. They connect with him easily 8:53 because he's so inspired. He performs 8:56 better at work and his boss realizes 8:59 that he is going places. 9:02 There was an opening in the company. 9:04 Ram Dutt was offered the job and he is now 9:07 risen ahead 9:10 and he is well respected everywhere in 9:13 society doing well with his family. All 9:16 is going well. 9:19 And on the other hand, you take a look 9:21 at Shiv Dutt. He made no changes. He's just 9:24 remaining the same. Sometimes he gets 9:27 bored day in and day out. The same thing Overestimating 9:31 in this way. 9:33 The little steps that we take in 9:37 the long run, they add up to a huge 9:42 difference. 9:44 Invariably 9:46 people overestimate 9:49 the change they can do in one day. 9:53 They overestimate oh Swami ji said this 9:57 let me do it and if it doesn't happen I can't 10:00 do it. 10:02 So they think in one day they'll go from 10:04 sinner to saint and when it doesn't 10:07 happen they become disappointed. 10:10 So people are overestimating 10:13 what change they can do in one day 10:17 but they are underestimating 10:20 what a little change when repeated over 10:23 time can make a difference to your life. 10:28 Consider this analogy. When the plane 10:30 takes off 10:32 from Dallas, the DFW airport to Seattle, 10:37 it has to be on course. If it changes 10:40 course by 3°, it will not end up in 10:44 Seattle. It will end up somewhere else. 10:48 So in this way, we need to make the 10:53 changes in our life with these small 10:56 small decisions. 10:59 And that is where we don't understand 11:04 their importance because they seem so 11:07 small. 11:09 The first day when you had a drink of 11:13 alcohol, if it immediately created a 11:16 cirrhosis of the liver, nobody would ever 11:19 touch it. 11:21 But on one day's basis, there seems to 11:24 be no difference. 11:26 The first day when you had that double 11:28 ice cream, if the extra fat caused a 11:32 heart attack, then nobody would ever 11:34 take a double ice cream. 11:36 The first day you puffed a cigarette, if 11:39 your face gained another 20 years, 11:42 nobody would ever smoke. 11:44 The changes are so small that we don't 11:48 seem to realize, 11:50 but these small changes start adding up. 11:55 First we make the choices 11:58 and then the choices we have made they 12:03 make us. 12:06 They start adding up and the momentum 12:09 builds up. This is called the “Big Mo”. 12:15 A little thing becomes big later on. 12:20 Just consider 12:23 the merry go round on which we used to 12:25 play as little children. 12:28 There was this fulcrum and the disc 12:31 which was put on it the children first 12:35 when they start pushing because of the 12:38 frictional resistance it's difficult to 12:41 make it gather momentum. You have to 12:44 push hard 12:46 but slowly it starts moving. 12:50 And then it's moving faster and faster 12:53 and the child is running until that 12:56 Merry go round is flying. The child lifts 13:00 her feet onto it and is sailing along 13:04 with the merry go round. The momentum has 13:07 been built. 13:09 In case it slows down, all that's 13:12 required is put one's foot down, give it 13:14 a kick, and come back again. In the same 13:17 way in life, 13:20 the little decisions 13:23 when they are repeatedly made, they make 13:27 a big difference. You took 1:23 money and you did not give it back. He 1:25 said of course I did. The munsif clerk 1:29 who had come said do you have a witness? 1:33 And he said Bihari ji is my witness. 1:37 So the clerk went and said to the judge 1:40 he seems like an honest man and he says 1:43 he's got a witness. 1:46 Who's his witness? Bihari ji. 1:49 When the case came up for review 1:53 the announcement was made. 1:57 Gawahi Bihari Hazir ho ! 2:02 May witness Bihari come 2:05 to the witness box. 2:09 The first call was made 2:12 and nothing happened. 2:15 The money lender was also there and the 2:18 Brahman was also there. 2:21 So the second announcement was made. 2:26 Nothing happened. 2:28 The third announcement was made 2:32 and somebody came with a blanket all 2:36 around him. Now you know in Vrindavan in 2:40 the winters it gets really cold. So he 2:43 had a blanket and he had covered his 2:46 face. 2:47 He came into the witness box. 2:51 He removed 2:53 his blanket and looked at the judge just 2:56 the face and the pen dropped from the 2:59 judge's hand. 3:02 So the judge said you are Bihari. 3:05 He said yes 3:07 you are witness to his payments. He said 3:11 yes 3:12 can you explain? 3:14 So he said that the money lender had two 3:18 registers. 3:19 one is the wrong one and one is the 3:23 real one which is inside this particular cupboard 3:25 and he related all the payments. 3:30 So the police went and checked and it 3:32 was found that it tallied completely 3:36 with what the witness had said 3:40 and subsequent to that the judge then 3:43 wrote the judgment that he is freed. He 3:47 broke his nib and he went and took sanyas. 3:54 Why? Because Bihari himself had come to 3:59 give the witness. 4:01 out here, of course, some people 4:03 question that you know ultimately you 4:07 are worshiping stone. How come you are 4:09 getting the benefit of God? 4:12 Well, the fact is that in the spiritual 4:17 realm, 4:20 it is your bhav which counts. 4:25 You can take any name of God you wish. 4:30 There is no such requisite. You have to 4:33 take this one name that the guru gave in 4:36 the ear. God has got innumerable names 4:41 and he's seated in all his names. He is 4:45 concerned with your bhav. 4:49 If you have bhav that is all that 4:52 counts. Take a look at the friends of 4:55 Shri Krishna his coward friends. 4:59 They did not say Shri Krishna like we 5:03 say. They said Kanua 5:06 because they saw him as an equal. They 5:09 said come here and the gopis 5:14 they pulled him further down. 5:17 They labeled him as langar 5:20 Langar means loafer. 5:23 You loafer you are running after us like 5:26 this. But the heart was filled with love 5:32 and that is what enabled them to achieve 5:35 a state that even the big Rishis 5:39 aspired for. 5:41 So likewise the story of Dhanna Jat 5:47 where he insisted to his guru that you 5:51 have to give me a deity that I will 5:53 worship and the guru just took a piece 5:56 of stone and said here it is. What is 5:59 this guru gi? It is a “shila”. You know 6:03 they take “shilas” from Govardhan parvat and they 6:06 worship it as sacred. This is a shila 6:08 of Shri Krishna. But Dhanna had such 6:12 faith that he created the right 6:15 sentiments and ultimately God manifested 6:18 from there as well.
