Do this Everyday to Achieve the Ultimate Goal of your Life | Daily Sadhana by Swami Mukundananda

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY  Full Text  1  what is so difficult in becoming simple ? the difficulty is in being clever, in being cunning, simpleness is a straightforward behavior, the difficulty is that in the world we have become habituated to cleverness  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=0 2 we discussed that God's eternal law is that one who surrenders to Him receives His grace, we also discussed that this surrender is a state of doing nothing and by doing nothing if we receive His infinite grace, then God is causelessly merciful  & so if this is the nature of God that merely by surrendering to Him, we become the benefactors of his causeless grace and by virtue of His grace, we receive His divine knowledge, His divine bliss, His divine love, we get released from material bondage, we attain the supreme destination, then why is it that we have not yet surrendered to God ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=17  3  infinite lifetimes have passed away. Is it that yesterday for the first time we came to know this law ? is it that in past lifetimes we were not aware of this causeless nature of God and his eternal rule of surrender ?  That cannot be the case we have had innumerable lifetimes and innumerable times we have met saints and we have read the scriptures and these saints and scriptures informed us that look, God is an ocean of grace and mercy, surrender to Him and you will receive that mercy,  so we cannot say that we were unaware of this law and hence we did not do our Sharnagati (i.e., we did not surrender). We knew this law and despite knowing it, we did not surrender to God. Why was that so ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=104  4  There were certain obstacles in that surrender, certain difficulties we faced in surrendering to God, these difficulties still exist, we need to understand them and overcome them, unless we understand these,  unless we remove these deficiencies in our surrender to the Lord, even today we will not be able to become recipients of that divine grace. What were these difficulties, what were these obstacles primarily ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=190  5  There are eight problems in surrender, the few of these are called “kapuyacharan”, a few of these are called “tustis” let us take a look at the “kapuyacharan” “kapuyacharan” means “galat acharan”, defective thought, defective behavior the first of these this is called “Jihm bhav”  Jihm bhāva" (जिह्म भाव) — संस्कृत में जिह्म का अर्थ है टेढ़ा, छलयुक्त, कपटी, तो जिह्म भाव का अर्थ होगा "कपटी प्रवृत्ति" या "कुटिल मनोभाव" what is “Jihm bhav”?
it is lack of simplicity, in order to surrender to God one must possess a simple heart “सरल स्वभाव ना मन कुटिलाई, निर्मल मन जन सो मोहे पावा”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=243  6  the Lord says I am NOT impressed by cleverness, by cunningness, by deceit, I'm impressed by a simple trusting childlike heart but the problem is that interacting with this world we learn to become clever,  first we practice cleverness with our friends and then with our relatives and when we engage in our profession, we learn cleverness there.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=306  7  One shopkeeper in India was telling me Swamiji what to do, my trade is like this, when I open my shop in the morning, I make a resolve "Jhoot hi bolunga, jhoot ke sivny kuch nahin bolunga"  I shall only speak lies that is the only way I can sell my goods to customers so all this cleverness that we have learned while dealing with the world, this needs to be thrown away and we need to go back to the state in which we were born, a simple trusting child.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=361  8  There is a beautiful story in this regard that is very commonly told by grandmothers in India, there was this sanatan dharam mandir, a temple with many deities of different forms of God, the pundit ji had kept an orphan child to help him in the puja, the child would get food to eat and be taken care of and pundit ji would have his assistance in the worship, so it was a win-win situation for both,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=404  9  one day pundit ji had to go for a holy pilgrimage a teerth yatra, so he told the child, look the way I have been offering food to God, you must offer in the same way and only after God has eaten should you eat the Prasadam, I will be away for two months and I'm going to leave ration for two months,  the child said all right. He was a very trusting child and when he would accompany pundit ji in the puja he would ask who is this ? pundit ji would say he is Hanuman, he is an avatar of Lord Shiv, so the child would believe it, he would not see deity as a piece of stone but see the deity as the lord Himself,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=448  10  so the next day the child prepared the food items, placed them on the plate, took the plate to the altar and requested the deities, O Lord, please come and receive this food eat to your heart's content, now the deities were unmoved, they had remained still for all these years of worship by pundit ji,  the child was expecting them to come and eat because when pundit ji used to make the offering, he would have the curtain closed and child did not know what was going on, he thought maybe the deities have not liked his cooking, so he took it away trashed it, prepared another meal, brought it and requested O Lord, please eat it,  now the deities were still not willing, so he started crying, he said you don't like my cooking, all right, if you are not going to eat, I will also not eat, he went hungry that night,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=508  11  the next day again he prepared a meal with his faith and devotion and he placed it on the altar and he said O Lord, please come and receive this food, the deities were again unwilling to move ;  so this time the boy picked up a stick he said, look, if you don't eat, pundit ji will get annoyed with me and he will dismiss me from this job, I'm an orphan where will I go, what will I do, you better eat or I will beat you with the stick,  now that stick was a symbol of his faith, his conviction, that this is God, that is the kind of faith that comes from a simple heart ; that is what God was waiting for  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=585  12  He says “verse”, I'm not Impressed by Scholasticism, I'm impressed by the trusting heart ; so when that boy picked up that stick that my Lord you had better eat or I'll whack You with it, what was there for the Lord ?  He who is all-pervading in this world is also present in His deity, so the deity started moving, they reached the plate and they started gobbling up the food, Hanuman he was eating away so that little offering finished quickly,  the boy came replenished it, replenished it again, the result was that the rations pundit ji had left for two months, got over in a week, so now what to do ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=652  13  So,this orphan child got a big task upon him, he would go to the market and beg from shopkeepers, sir, please give me something, I need to offer in the temple. Pundit ji returned in one month's time instead of two months, he said my child, I'm very hungry, give me something to eat,  the boy said pundit ji, you know we have got nothing here, I have to go and do bhiksha (begging) and then bring it. Pundit ji said, what do you mean ? I had left ration for two months, it's just one month over, there must still be food for one month did you go and sell it all in the market and see movies with the money ?  No no pundit ji, how would I ever do something like that, I will not lie to you, what could I do, God used to eat so much and Hanuman ji would keep eating away, pundit ji said really ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=717  14  all right, offer it in front of me, let me see how they eat, now the boy went again, prepared a plate and brought it & placed it on the altar as before and requested the deities to please come and eat this time, the deities were not willing to move, so the boy became annoyed because he would be proved a liar,  he picked up his stick once again, he said, will you eat or not or I'll whack you with it again the deities started giggling (laughing), they came to the plate and started eating pundit ji, seeing the spectacle, was so shocked, he fainted there,  he thought in all my life, in all my worship I have never even seen the light of God and look at this little child, God was actually coming and eating from his plate, how fortunate he was.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=787  15  So that is the trusting heart, the simple heart that it enables us to win the grace of God right away. Now the saint Narayan said, “verse” what is so difficult in becoming simple ? the difficulty is in being clever, in being cunning,  simpleness is a straightforward behavior, the difficulty is that in the world, we have become habituated to cleverness and like the tail of the dog, it's crooked, no matter how much you pull it, when you release it again it becomes crooked,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=853  15  similarly our habit in the world, when we go in front of God and guru, we start the same habit there, what should I increase and say, what should I decrease and say, how should I get my work done from the Guru & from God, all this cunningness comes as an obstacle to our surrender, so if we wish to succeed in doing sharnagati, we need to understand this first obstacle and to get rid of it by developing a simple heart.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4Mk8hnxsY&t=923

You’ll NEVER Fear Challenges Again: Shree Krishna's ULTIMATE Goal for your Life | Swami Mukundananda

You’ll NEVER Fear Challenges Again: Shree Krishna's ULTIMATE Goal for your Life | Swami Mukundananda

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ Full Text  1  The mantra says the nature of God is such that even the biggest genius in this world cannot know Him, so why is it that we cannot know God  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=0  2  the word you here used is “Anejat” “Ejat” means movement or vibration, “Anejat” is lack of movement ,remaining fixed so the mantra says God is stable immobile and fixed.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=47  3  How is he fixed the first is he is “lokasth” in his divine abode where this sun this moon etc. cannot go, where once having gone, a person doesn't return. Arjun, that is My eternal abode,  so God remains in His eternal abode, He doesn't fall from there, He is “Anejat” but you may say He creates the world, to create the world, doesn't He need to move and come here ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=75  4  if you wished to make a house in Oklahoma you would have to at least do a couple of visits there, so God makes the world doesn't He need to move here well ? He has got a shakti called the Sankalp Shakti, by virtue of his Sankalp Shakti all He does is,  He thinks and the material energy begins the work so He is Satya Sankalp, He thinks and it happens, He thought let the world be made, it was done, He thinks let it be dissolved and it will all be dissolved. So God although he is immovable there, He is able to create this world  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=128  5  apart from “lokasth”, He is “jivasth”, He is sitting in the hearts of all the living entities, He doesn't leave the soul, He continues with the soul so wherever we went in past lives, God accompanied us and that is why He remains seated,  so he is “Anejat”, but you may say that if I am moving around then God is also moving around with me, how come you are saying He is fixed ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=187  6  well it is like the Sun, the midday Sun, you see its reflection in a million pools, it will seem like a million Suns, they are all the reflections of the one Sun,  these may keep moving but that one will remain unmoving, likewise although God is moving in the hearts of all living beings like the Sun, He is also remaining immobile  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=230  7  so He is “lokasth”, He is “jivasth” and the third, He is also “vishvasth”, He is everywhere in creation, so as the maintainer of creation does He need to move around ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=264  8  you know we have administrators of countries, presidents, kings - the amount of movements they do, they have their private plane and they continuously move and God's administration is far bigger,  God has to administer the whole world, so what about God, does He need to move to do all of this ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=285  9  well, once again, He is all pervading already so He doesn't need to have any movements and all the movement of the world is within Him, just like the clouds move in the sky and the lightning also exists in the sky and  despite the clouds and the lightning, they all remain in the sky, which is unmoved. So Sri Krishna in the Gita, He has said, just like the cloud is moving in the sky and the sky is remaining in one place likewise, all the movement of the world is within God, even permitting all of that, He is still “Anejat”,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=314  10  however the same mantra says that He also moves and the example it gives is that He moves faster than the mind. The mind is considered so fast that in a moment the mind goes to the celestial abodes, the next moment it goes to the hellish abodes,  that is the power of the mind, one moment there one moment here, but wherever the mind moves is the realm of maya and maya is within God, so the mind can never go beyond maya, it can never go beyond God, wherever the mind goes God is already present, these contradictory qualities of God are being mentioned here  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=375  11  and then it says the nature of God is such that even the biggest genius in this world cannot know Him, Shri Krishna says, Arjun, I am Trikal Darshi, I know the past, I know the present and I know the future but nobody knows Me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=444  12  so why is it that we cannot know God ? because the instrument of our knowing is the intellect, the intellect is inspired by God. just like if you have a cloth, the cloth is moving but the thing moving it is the hand, now does the cloth have the ability to move the hand ? it doesn't, because it received power from the hand,  likewise our intellect is receiving power from God, it is not having the power to challenge its source, hence even the biggest celestial devatas, they are unable to know God, so the mantra says He is not known even by the biggest of the devatas who is Brahma, until he endowed Brahma with knowledge Brahma was unable to know Him  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=492  13  Also He has created this world as a womb, so the mantra says “matrisva”, it says just like the mother's womb, this world of Maya is the womb of God, for incubating the souls, now in this process God uses various techniques  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=576  14  there was once a construction supervisor on the third floor of the building that was being made, the workers were working on the ground floor and the construction supervisor shouted out "Listen", nobody responded, so again he shouted out "no one responded, he threw a dime.  The worker saw the money, took it and pocketed it, so he threw a bigger coin, the worker saw the bigger coin & pocketed it, so finally the construction supervisor took a stone and threw it, ouch, the worker looked up now, why did you do that ? he said to grab your attention.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=604  15  well likewise, God gives us things with the idea that we remember Him and fulfill the purpose of life, we take those God gifted things and pocket them for ourselves and then God tries other ways, when we are not willing to listen,  He gives us adversity and then we say, why is God doing this to me ? God says I'm just trying to grab your attention, when you are happy you are forgetting me, so I am sending you a little bit of misery, as a wakeup call.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=660  16  now the saints understand this perspective. To the house of Kabir came Sukh or happiness and Kabir said “सुख के माथे सील परै, नाम हिये ते जाय”, I will throw stones on Sukh, this happiness is making me forget God, I want that kind of adversity which takes me closer to God  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=707  17  this is the reason why Kunti prayed to God for adversities, Kunti’s prayers they are in 22 verses of Srimad Bhagavatam, she offers her pranams to Shri Krishna, so she says "Oh Sri Krishna please give me adversities", give me hardships,  Shri Krishna said "Why do you ask such things?" everybody is asking the reverse and you have turned the whole thing around. Kunti said Maharaj you know the answer, Shri Krishna said speak it out in any case, let the others hear as well,  so Kunti said "Maharaj it is because of all the worldly luxuries that we forget you", so if these are snatched away we will naturally turn our face away from the world and we will look towards you  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=746  18  so in this womb of God which is the world, there is a purpose of God, we need to have faith in that grand plan of God if we tie it up with the first mantra, He is complete, the definition of God is Brahma, Brahma means he who is infinitely big so the Sanskrit grammar says Brahma but the same word has another definition as well  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=845  19  Brahma is he who makes others big, so God's purpose is not just to be big and remain big but to make us all big, that bigness what he wants is the inner growth, the purpose of the world is not the outer comfort,  if you can always remind yourself of that, your perspective of looking at things will change, you will no longer be disturbed, no matter what happens, you will have faith that God has a plan and with that in mind you will then become fearless so what a beautiful mantra impregnated with so much of wisdom  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD3K2JLmUBQ&t=889  Standby link (in case youtube link does not work) You’ll NEVER Fear Challenges Again Shree Krishna's ULTIMATE Goal for your Life Swami Mukundananda.mp4

1 (00:00) प्रभु जी ये आपका transition कैसे हुआ?  Hotelier से आप Iskcon में एकदम चले गए  मतलब Krishna Bhakti में लग गए   ये एक question था मेरे father से, मैं 70s के अंदर cricket खेलता था तो early 70s के अंदर cricket जो खेलते थे, उनको ज्यादा कुछ मिलता नहीं था, बस clerk बन जाते थे bank  में   इसलिए my father used to get annoyed,  I used to play good cricket , वो कहते थे officer's son wants to become a clerk  एक officer का बच्चा clerk बनेगा  मैंने एक दिन पिता जी से कहा यह बताओ  कि head clerk बनकर मैं खुश नहीं हो सकता ? I have come to give this knowledge not for “have nots”, it is for “haves” so that they do not become “have nots”, मैं उनको यह ज्ञान उनको देने आया हूं, जिनको आज दो रोटी मिल रही है कि कल उनको ऐसा ना हो  कि दो रोटी भी नसीब ना हो https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AerJyyTC704&t=116 5 2:30 अपने बच्चों को पालने का मतलब क्या है कि right education complete दे सकें, personality बना सकें https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AerJyyTC704&t=150 6 3:34 सिर्फ material school तो आज हजारों लाखों है, spiritual school नहीं हैं, Religion is a matter of faith, spirituality is a matter of fact, Faith can be changed but Fact cannot be changed  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AerJyyTC704&t=214 7 3:57 एक अच्छा व्यक्ति प्रभुजी, जैसे Arjun देखिए सब माफ करने को तैयार था  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AerJyyTC704&t=237 8 04:33 अगर सब spiritual हो जाएं, jealousy खत्म हो जाए आज corporate में rat race हो रही है, मैंने कहा you have already agreed that you are rats, बताइये इससे और बेवकूफी वाली बात क्या हो सकती है   अरे, become humans, humans do not run rat race, rats run rat race https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AerJyyTC704&t=273

BG 4.25 | 3 Ways to Serve Lord Krishna - Which is the Highest? Bhagavad Gita Inspiration

BG 4.25 | 3 Ways to Serve Lord Krishna - Which is the Highest? Bhagavad Gita Inspiration

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE

Full Text  1  सेवक सेब्य भाव बिनु भव न तरिअ उरगारि। भजहु राम पद पंकज अस सिद्धांत बिचारि   If you wish to cross over the ocean of life and death, you will have to have the seva bhav, the desire to serve so how will we reach the “Atmahuti” (surrender of mind (atma) to Krishna) which Lord Krishna is talking about.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=07  2  there are few things to be understood when it comes to Seva, or giving in charity, the first is what should I give in charity, the second is to whom should I give in charity, and the third is how should I give in charity, किसका दान, किसको दान, कैसे दान  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=34  3  Some yogis worship the celestial gods with material offerings unto them, others worship perfectly, who offer the self as sacrifice in the fire of the Supreme truth, two verses ago Lord Krishna said that the Karm Yogis is working in Divine Consciousness they offer the fruits of their works to God as sacrifice, O Lord I am doing this for your pleasure, He then in the previous verse said that in Divine Consciousness, in that sacrifice everything becomes divine  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=94  4  the word in Sanskrit is “Yagya” (Yajna), the connotation in people's mind is the fire sacrifice, where there's a fire burning and with the ladle you're offering the oblations “verse”, so he said that you know in this Yagya everything is Brahman in Divine Consciousness but he goes on to give an extended meaning of yagya, it is not just the sacrifice performed with fire, the sacrifice can be done in a variety of ways  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=153  5  so sacrifice means a voluntary austerity that you accept for a higher purpose, like for example a child sacrifices video games to get good grades in school, you sacrificed a long weekend in Las Vegas to come to this Satsang, it is a sacrifice all the same, so you sacrifice something lower to achieve something higher.  Without sacrifice nobody, nothing worthwhile can be achieved in life because anything that is worthy of attaining always lies upstream. So of course those who know what is the spirit of sacrifice they do it in Divine Consciousness for the pleasure of the Lord but not everybody is in that Consciousness.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=210  6  Shri Krishna says there are people who have not yet reached that blossoming of the consciousness, so they engage in sacrifice with the spirit of fruitive rewards, I will do this I will get this in return and then they find it is more tactically advantageous to worship the celestial gods, because they will be easily pleased and they will give material rewards, so people worship Saraswati to get knowledge, they worship Kuber to get wealth and so on and so forth.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=285  7  however Shri Krishna says true sacrifice is offering the very self, to offer yourself and seek nothing in return, that is called at “Atmahuti” (atma-ahuti actually), this “Atmahuti” leads to an explosion of God’s Grace  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=331  8  there was one Yogi Shri Krishna Prem who was born in Germany and something inspired him, maybe sanskar of his past life & so looking for spirituality, he came to India and there he settled down and never left India ever again, he became a Krishna devotee, this was many years ago about 80 90 years ago,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=357  9  so he writes that in this world of dust and din whenever anyone has given true “Atmahuti”, merging himself in the flame of love divine, there is an explosion which is God’s Grace for no true “Atmahuti” in this world can ever go in vain so this “Atmahuti” he's saying this is what the scriptures say  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=384  10  & Saint Kabir also said “verse”, if you want to drink the cup of divine Love, “शीश दक्षिणा दे”, you will have to give your head as Dakshina, “verse” one who's greedy, one who's attached, cannot offer the head, & in vain they talk about love but they don't understand what it is to really love, to understand love you will have to give your head.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=415  11  now somebody is saying “Atmahuti”, somebody is saying give your head, Tulsidasti says सेवक सेब्य भाव बिनु भव न तरिअ उरगारि। भजहु राम पद पंकज अस सिद्धांत बिचारि ॥ If you wish to cross over the ocean of life and death, you will have to have the seva bhav, the desire to serve so how will we reach the “Atmahuti” which Lord Krishna is talking about.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=460  12  we need to understand out here there are few things to be understood when it comes to Seva, or giving in charity. The first is what should I give in charity, the second is to whom should I give in charity and the third is how should I give in charity.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=498  13  So the first point is what should I give in charity. of course Lord Krishna says give your Atma but how will you give this Atma and make the “Atmahuti” ? the Atma is tied to the mind because in the materially bound state our consciousness is determined by the consciousness of the mind, so the only way you can offer your Atma is that you offer your mind  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=530  14  now somebody says, guruji I've offered my Atma to you but I am not able to control my mind, guruji says how have you offered your Atma to me ? you can only do “Atmahuti” if you have mastered the mind, and then the controlled mind you offer here to Gurudeva, here Shri Krishna with all the love of my heart I offer it to you.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=563  15  so to reach “Atmahuti”, you will have to surrender the mind and the mind is attached to the world so what do you do ? you start spending a little bit of your time in Seva, if I engage myself in Seva activities, then slowly slowly the mind will start developing that chintan, that contemplation, happiness of God and Guru  but now what to do, the body is engaged in the world, in today's world you have to spend eight to ten to 12 hours a day in your work because the multinational corporations they don't pay you easily they squeeze you dry for every dollar they give to you, that is why I decided to quit after three months but since those days it has got far worse  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=597  16  so all day long you are working in office, now if your Guru says please take out 12 hours, 15 or 20 hours a week to do Seva, you say guruji I just don't have time so then the third best thing is that what you earn you start doing Seva with that earning.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=663  17  so this is how you reach the top most “Atmahuti”, you start with the lowest steps “verse”, there is seva with तन मन धन, with your material possessions, with the body, with the mind but the step begins from with our material possessions, we start serving and then slowly slowly we get this privilege of serving with the body as well  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=684  18  and when we serve in the body, now we come in the spiritual devotional realm, then the mind develops this chintan I wish to give happiness to God and Guru when the mind is constantly harboring that thought, now the mind is surrendered and at that time then the “Atmahuti” takes place, so we have to begin from the lowest step  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=721  19  and then the second point to whom should we offer the service, so you can offer to a Satwik Patra, Rajasik Patra or Tamasik Patra and Nirgun Patra, here also there are four kinds or four kinds of vessels  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=754  20  One is Tamasik Patra, your village gunda he says Ganesh Puja is coming, you better cut a receipt in my receipt book, otherwise I'll see you, you say my God, to save myself I may as well give him a thousand rupees and he goes with the rest of the gundas, he starts drinking out there, the thousand rupees is well utilized for drinking this is the tamasik Patra, now he commits sin and you offer to him, you are also culpable for that sin  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=776  21  and the higher than this is Rajasik Patra, this is in the mode of passion, that if you give here your name will be placed on that blade of the fan, your name, second blade your father's name, third blade your grandfather's name, sometimes I go to temples and dharamshalas in India and every bit, whichever a name can be placed, it is there, people say you know I will die but the fan will remain out here with my name on it, so this Seva done with the desire for name and fame, this is the mode of passion  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=809  22  and then there is Satwik Seva which is motivated by compassion, You are moved to pity seeing the suffering of others and that inspires you to offer medicines to offer food and articles of necessity  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=850  23  but the highest is Nirguna Seva that is which we offer to God that O Lord this is for your pleasure, and since the guru is engaged in serving God we say gurudev this we are going to help you in your mission, so the material sevas will be of bodily help and the Divine Seva will help in uplifting the soul, so this is about whom to offer the Seva  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=870  24  and the third is how to offer it so a lot has been written in the scriptures of the world, the Bible says let not the left hand know what the right hand gives, in other words you give away the pride of having given away  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=906  25  there was the play enacted of Rahim Khan-i-Khanan (see note 1 below), Rahim he was a noble man and he had lots of wealth so he used to give in charity but when he would give, he would put his eyes down and then offer in charity, and that news reached Tulsidas who was his contemporary, they were all the saints in the bhakti movement of medieval India when there were hundreds of saints all over India  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=930  26  so Tulsidas wrote to him “verse” ऐसी देनी देंन ज्यूँ, कित सीखे हो सैन ज्यों ज्यों कर ऊंच्यो करो, त्यों त्यों नीचे नैन (कर = हाथ,hands) what is this style of giving that you have learnt, as your hand engages in higher and higher activities of giving, your eyes go further and further down, what style of giving is this ?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=966  27  so that was when Raheem wrote back his famous Doha “verse” देनहार कोई और है देत रहत दिन रेन। लोग भरम मो पे करें, ताते नीचे नैन।, it all belongs to somebody else (God actually), but people are saying that Rahim is so wonderful, Rahim is so charitable, so feeling embarrassed, I put my eyes down, that is the spirit of how to give.  Jagatguru Kripalu ji maharaj, he said that this is the spirit of Seva where while giving, you think I don't have anything worthy of giving in me the heart says it is his kindness that he is accepting it, so while giving think that I am so blessed that he is accepting my offering,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=997  28  and the third point while giving feel that I have given nothing at all, so this is the spirit in which you give, and when you start from the lowest step तन धन मन slowly it builds up until we reach the point where the mind is offered in love and that is when the “Atmahuti” (surrender of mind (atma) to Krishna) happens  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKipWsmiBrE&t=1064  (see note 1 above)  The play refers to the life and works of Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khanan, also known as Rahim, a prominent figure during the Mughal era in India. He was a poet, scholar, and general in Akbar's court. His most famous works are his dohas (couplets) which are known for their wisdom and moral teachings  Standby link (in case youtube link does not work) BG 4.25 3 Ways to Serve Lord Krishna - Which is the Highest Bhagavad Gita Inspiration (1).mp4
