शास्त्र बताते हैं कि ये तो एक पेड़ है, इसलिए पत्तों की बजाय केवल जड़ (यानी भगवान) को पानी दे दो, पूरा पेड़ संतुष्ट हो जाएगा

When Lord Shiva personally appeared to his true devotee Narsi Mehta and asked him what he wanted, Narsi Mehta ji said that he do not want anything, but on Shiva's insistence that he will have to ask for something, Narsi ji agreed to be granted whatever was best for him and wanted only that which is most dear to Lord Shiva, then Shiva gave the idol of Shri Krishna and said that this is the most dear to me.
