Bhagavad Gita - When All HOPE Is LOST Watch THIS! The Most Eye Opening 15 Minutes by Swami Mukundanand
*Main Points*: 1 one young lady got married to a naval officer, after marriage she was accompanying her husband on her first voyage in the sea, unfortunately the ship got caught in terrible, storm it was getting tossed by the waves on the high seas and that created tremendous fear amongst all the passengers, the lady's husband, the naval officer was the captain of the ship, he was completely calm and peaceful, She was astonished at his equipoise and said my dear husband when everybody is besieged by fear, how is it that you are able to attain such calm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=3 2 the husband took out his sword from the sheath and placed the naked blade on his wife's head, he said darling, are you feeling scared ? The wife smiled why should I feel scared, I have got the blade on your head it can go through your skull you're not scared ? She said my dear husband, sword is in your hands & you are my well-wisher, I have complete faith that you will always work for my protection then why should I be scared ? The husband said in the same way I have complete faith that God is my well-wisher and this ship is in His hands & He will always protect me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=66 3 whatever God does will be for my well-being protection doesn't mean that my material luxury should remain. I have faith that He is my benefactor, so the third point in surrender is exactly this, “verse” of BHAKTI RASĀMRITA SINDHU “To desire only in accordance with the desire of God; not to desire against the desire of God. To have firm faith that God is protecting us” the BHAKTI RASĀMRITA SINDHU states to have faith that God is my protector, that fearlessness is the sign of “sharnagati” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=125 4 Listen to this incident of Mahabharat, wherein Bisham Pitamah vowed to kill arjuna the next day, but when Krishna went to Arjuna to console him at midnight at 2am, Arjuna was deep asleep, as he was not worried for his own life, as he had complete faith in Krishna’s protection for him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=173 5 to help you understand such knowledge which is otherwise so vast and esoteric (intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest), I have explained it simply in this recently published book, the Science of Mind Management, with the help of scriptural quotations, crystal clear logic and real life examples, I am sure you will benefit from it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=360 6 even in the world, a father takes care of a child & if the child says, father, will you give me bread tomorrow ? The father will say what is wrong with him, does he doubt whether I'll feed him or not ? Our scriptures says that Lord is Vishwambhar (all-sustaining or the one who sustains the universe) as He is taking care of all the living beings in the world https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=390 7 you don't find elephants going hungry, these elephants are such big creatures they eat enormous amounts but God has ensured that they get what they need for their sustenance. Swami ji relates incidents of his Ashram at Orissa reg. elephants & their sharp memories God is also taking care of the little ants and also birds So I would often be curious, being a student of science, I would ponder how did these ants come to know that there is cashew nut on top of the table because there were no ants visible in the room, and this cashew doesn't have any smell worth talking about, I would often ask scientists and elders, how does the ant come to know. When nobody was able to give an answer then I concluded for myself that God is sitting inside the ant and inspiring it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=430 8 I have heard that once mother Lakshmi was pressing the feet of Lord Vishnu & She wanted to check the power of Lord to feed the ants – she deliberately enclosed one ant in a little box & closed it. When she opened the little box in the morning, she was shocked that the ant was live, having fed on a little grain left in the box by mistake. Listen for details.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=642 9 The Lord is taking care of all living beings & when we surrender to Him, don't you think He is going to take even more care of us. That faith, that trust is what sharanagati is all about. In the Bhagavad-Gita Lord Krishna says Arjun “There are those who always think of Me and engage in exclusive devotion to Me. To them, whose minds are always absorbed in Me, I provide what they lack and preserve what they already possess.” httvedabase.io/en/library/bg/9/22/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=774 10 Although I am taking care of everyone in General, those who do My “sharanagati” who engage in my unalloyed (pure, ,i.e., ananya , अनन्य who worship & love Me alone, none else) devotion, I maintain their yog kshem (क्षेम) yoga — requirements; kṣemam — protection; So what does yog mean, yog means whatever spiritual asset they need for success in sadhana but they do not possess, I arrange for them to develop or receive it. And kshem (क्षेम) means what spiritual virtues they have acquired over lifetimes, I ensure that they are able to protect it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=815 11 The extent to which we progress in our surrender, to that extent, this faith will keep growing and to that extent we will become fearless, so this faith that I am surrendering to God and He is taking care of me, this is the third aspect of “surrender” (शरणागती) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHtC5lO70bQ&t=867 Transcript 0:03 one young lady 0:05 got married to a naval officer 0:09 after marriage she was accompanying her 0:12 husband on her first voyage in the sea 0:18 unfortunately 0:20 the ship got caught in terrible 0:24 storm it was getting tossed by the waves 0:29 on the high seas and that created 0:32 tremendous fear amongst all the 0:35 passengers 0:37 the lady's husband the naval officer was 0:42 the captain of the ship 0:45 he was completely calm and peaceful 0:50 she was astonished at his equipoise 0:53 and said my dear husband when everybody 0:57 is besieged by fear 1:00 how is it that you are able to attain 1:03 such calm 1:06 the husband took out his sword from the 1:10 sheath and placed the naked blade on his 1:14 wife's head 1:15 he said darling 1:17 are you feeling scared 1:20 the wife smiled why should I feel scared 1:24 I have got the blade on your head it can 1:27 go through your skull you're not scared 1:31 she said my dear husband 1:34 sword is in your hands you are my 1:38 well-wisher I have complete faith that 1:43 you will always work for my protection 1:46 then why should I be scared 1:49 the husband said in the same way I have 1:53 complete faith that God is my 1:57 well-wisher and this ship is in his 2:00 hands 2:02 he will always protect me 2:05 whatever he does will be for my 2:08 well-being protection doesn't mean that 2:12 my material luxury should remain 2:15 I have faith that he is my benefactor 2:21 so 2:23 the third point in surrender 2:26 is exactly this 2:29 “verse” of BHAKTI RASĀMRITA SINDHU “To desire only in accordance with the desire of God; not to desire against the desire of God. To have firm faith that God is protecting us” 2:37 the BHAKTI RASĀMRITA SINDHU states 2:40 to have faith that God is my protector 2:47 that fearlessness is the sign of “sharnagati” 2:53 just like Arjun was surrendered to Lord 2:57 Krishna and what was the consequence 2:59 during the Battle of Mahabharata when 3:03 duryodhan taunted 3:06 Grand sire bhishma that you are being 3:09 lenient with the pandavas if you wished 3:13 you could have killed him 3:15 bhishma felt insulted and he made a 3:20 resolve tomorrow by Sunset I will either 3:24 slay their best warrior Arjun 3:27 or else to protect him Lord 3:31 Krishna will have to break his vow and 3:35 lift weapons in this war 3:39 when the war ended that day in the 3:42 evening at dusk as was the rule in those 3:45 Days “Dharm Yudh” 3:47 even though War would be according to 3:50 rules 3:51 the news spread amidst the pond of enemy camp 3:56 that bhishma pitama had resolved to slay 4:01 Arjun the next day by sunset 4:05 everybody fell into deep gloom what will 4:09 happen tomorrow 4:12 Lord Krishna was also contemplating over 4:16 the situation and thinking about it 4:20 It became two o’ clock in the night 4:24 suddenly he thought 4:27 if I am so concerned about arjun's death 4:32 how worried he must be let me go and 4:35 console him 4:37 so he got out of his tent and walked 4:40 over to the tent where Arjun was 4:43 supposedly sleeping 4:45 Lord Krishna heard sounds of snoring 4:50 My my so peaceful, he shook his friend 4:55 and said parth 4:57 Arjun said 4:59 Maharaj at this time in the night what 5:03 is the matter 5:04 Shri Krishna said have you not heard of 5:08 the resolve made by bhishma 5:11 Arjun said yes Maharaj I also received 5:14 the WhatsApp message 5:16 Shri Krishna said are you not concerned 5:19 worried about it 5:22 Arjun said my Lord 5:25 for my protection 5:27 if you are so worried that till two in 5:31 the morning you are unable to sleep 5:34 then why should I worry 5:41 let me do my best 5:45 and have full faith he is taking care of 5:48 me because ultimately that is all we can 5:51 do 5:52 strive to do the utmost in our actions 6:00 to help you understand such knowledge 6:03 which is otherwise so vast and esoteric (intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest) 6:07 I have explained it simply in this 6:11 recently published book the Science of 6:15 Mind Management with the help of 6:18 scriptural quotations Crystal Clear 6:21 logic and real life examples I am sure 6:26 you will benefit from it 6:30 even in the world 6:32 a father takes care of a child if the 6:36 child says father will you give me bread 6:38 tomorrow 6:40 the father will say what is wrong with 6:42 him does he doubt whether I'll feed him 6:44 or not 6:46 our scriptures says 7:00 that Lord is Vishwambhar (all-sustaining or the one who sustains the universe) he is taking care of 7:06 all the living beings in the world 7:10 you don't find elephants going hungry 7:14 these elephants are such big creatures 7:18 they eat enormous amounts but 7:22 God has ensured that they get what they 7:27 need for their sustenance 7:29 you know our ashram in India in Orissa 7:32 is an elephant country by the side is a 7:37 Forest Reserve 7:38 and every once in a while many times a 7:41 year the elephants walk in 7:43 they eat the cabbages and go away 7:46 that is when I came to study elephants 7:50 from Close Quarters and I understood so 7:53 many interesting things 7:55 firstly God has given them tremendous 7:58 memories why because their size makes 8:03 them vulnerable when they enter the 8:05 Village People will start throwing 8:07 things but now people know 8:10 that if I so much as throw a stone on 8:14 the elephant it will remember me for 8:16 life 8:17 and there have been episodes when the 8:20 elephant returned after many years and 8:24 remembering the person lifted and killed 8:27 that person that is why people are 8:29 scared of attacking these creatures and 8:33 then again if they revisit the same 8:36 place for fodder, people will be 8:38 prepared so they go to a different 8:41 location 8:43 every day of the year and their memory 8:47 acts to their benefit where they can 8:50 remember 8:51 365 routes 8:54 so God is taking care of these huge 9:00 creatures he's also taking care of the 9:04 little ants 9:05 growing up in India we often had this 9:09 experience that if a little bit of food 9:11 got left somewhere on the shelf or the 9:14 table after six hours you would find a 9:19 row of ants coming to take it away 9:23 so I would often be curious 9:27 being a student of science I would 9:30 Ponder how did these ants come to know 9:33 that there is cashew nut on top of the 9:35 table 9:37 because there were no ants visible in 9:39 the room 9:41 and this cashew doesn't have any smell 9:43 worth talking about 9:46 I would often ask scientists and Elders 9:50 how does the ant come to know 9:53 where nobody was able to give an answer 9:56 then I concluded for myself that God is 10:02 sitting inside the ant and inspiring it 10:06 climb this wooden leg you will find food 10:10 for yourself on top. 10:13 this is vishwambhar the Lord who takes 10:18 care of all living beings the Bible puts 10:23 it so well look at the birds in the 10:25 field they neither plow the land nor sow 10:29 the seeds nor reap and harvest nor store 10:32 away in Barns and yet our heavenly 10:36 father feeds them 10:39 are you not more than they 10:42 I have heard 10:45 that once mother Lakshmi 10:49 was pressing the feet of Lord Vishnu as 10:53 he lay on Anantashesh in the ocean of 10:57 milk 10:59 that was her daily Seva to her Divine 11:03 husband the Supreme lord of the universe 11:11 So, Lord Vishnu suddenly exclaimed to Lakshmi I have to 11:15 do so much of work in this world 11:20 Lakshmi said Maharaja you have to do so 11:23 much of work but all I see is that you 11:26 keep lying in this bed and I keep 11:29 pressing your feet at least I am doing 11:31 more work than you are 11:33 Lord Vishnu said Lakshmi this is my 11:36 external form my Leela internally I am 11:41 sitting in everyone's heart says as 11:43 paramatma 11:45 maintaining the universe 11:48 taking care of their needs noting their 11:52 karmas giving the results 11:56 Lakshmi thought let me put my husband's 11:59 words to test 12:01 next day in the morning 12:04 she got a little ant and she placed the 12:08 ant in a small jewel case 12:12 while she was doing her shringar 12:15 and closed the lid thinking let's see my 12:19 husband's prowess in protecting this 12:22 little ant 12:24 apparently it was without food all day 12:28 long 12:28 but at night when Lakshmi Devi opened 12:31 the lid of the jewel case she discovered 12:34 the ant was hail and hearty and strong 12:38 unknown to her a little grain of rice 12:42 from her head from the Puja had fallen 12:46 into the case and provided fodder to the 12:49 ant for the day, so do you see if 12:52 millions of ants there have died of 12:54 hunger ? the Lord is taking care of all 12:59 living beings when we surrender to him 13:03 don't you think he's going to take even 13:06 more care of us 13:09 That faith, 13:11 that trust is what sharanagati is all 13:16 about 13:18 in the bhagavad-gita Lord Krishna says 13:33 he says Arjun “There are those who always think of Me and engage in exclusive devotion to Me. To them, whose minds are always absorbed in Me, I provide what they lack and preserve what they already possess.” https://vedabase.io/en/library/bg/9/22/ 13:35 although I am taking care of everyone in 13:39 general 13:40 those who do my sharanagati 13:45 who engage in my unalloyed (pure, ,i.e., ananya , अनन्य who worship & love Me alone, none else) devotion 13:52 I maintain their yog kshem (क्षेम) yoga — requirements; kṣemam — protection; 13:56 so what does yog mean 14:00 yog means whatever spiritual asset they 14:03 need for success in sadhana but they do 14:07 not possess 14:08 I arrange for them to develop or 14:11 receive it 14:13 and kshem (क्षेम) means what spiritual virtues 14:17 they have acquired over lifetimes 14:21 I ensure that they are able to protect 14:25 It 14:27 the extent to which we progress in our 14:31 surrender 14:32 to that extent this faith will keep 14:36 growing and to that extent we will 14:40 become Fearless 14:42 so this faith that I am surrendering to 14:47 God and he is taking care of me this is 14:52 the third aspect of “surrender” (शरणागती)
