Bhagvat :THE BODY FULLY ENGAGED IN KRSHNA'S SERVICE SHOULD NOT BE NEGLECTED AS MATERIAL, ACTIVITIES PERFORMED WITH THE HELP OF THE BODY FOR THE SATISFACTION OF THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH ARE EVERLASTING,13th July

Bhagvat THE BODY FULLY ENGAGED IN KRSHNA'S SERVICE SHOULD NOT BE NEGLECTED AS MATERIAL, ACTIVITIES PERFORMED WITH THE HELP OF THE BODY FOR THE SATISFACTION OF THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH ARE EVERLASTING

TRANSLATION
When a tree is uprooted it immediately falls down and begins to dry up. Similarly, if one doesn't take care of the body, which is supposed to be untruth—in other words, if the untruth is uprooted—the body undoubtedly becomes dry.

PURPORT
In this regard, Shrila Rüpa Gosvami says:

"ONE WHO REJECTS THINGS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO KRSHNA IS INCOMPLETE IN HIS RENUNCIATION." (BHAKTI-RASAMRTA-SINDHU 1.2.256) WHEN THE BODY IS ENGAGED IN THE SERVICE OF THE LORD, ONE SHOULD NOT CONSIDER THE BODY MATERIAL. SOMETIMES THE SPIRITUAL BODY OF THE SPIRITUAL MASTER IS MISUNDERSTOOD. But Shrila Rüpa Gosvami instructs, prapancikataya buddhya hari-sambandhi-vastunam.

THE BODY FULLY ENGAGED IN KRSHNA'S SERVICE SHOULD NOT BE NEGLECTED AS MATERIAL. ONE WHO DOES NEGLECT IT IS FALSE IN HIS RENUNCIATION. IF THE BODY IS NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINED, IT FALLS DOWN AND DRIES UP LIKE AN UPROOTED TREE, FROM WHICH FLOWERS AND FRUIT CAN NO LONGER BE OBTAINED. The Vedas therefore enjoin:

THE PURPORT IS THAT ACTIVITIES PERFORMED WITH THE HELP OF THE BODY FOR THE SATISFACTION OF THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH (OM TAT SAT) ARE NEVER TEMPORARY, ALTHOUGH PERFORMED BY THE TEMPORARY BODY. INDEED, SUCH ACTIVITIES ARE EVERLASTING. THEREFORE, THE BODY SHOULD BE PROPERLY CARED FOR. BECAUSE THE BODY IS TEMPORARY, NOT PERMANENT, ONE CANNOT EXPOSE THE BODY TO BEING DEVOURED BY A TIGER OR KILLED BY AN ENEMY. ALL PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PROTECT THE BODY.

GOD's LOVE IS SO DEEP and VAST and EVER NEW THAT ONE CANNOT DESCRIBE IT, YET NONE CAN STAY WITHOUT TELLING ABOUT IT #Blog0059

GOD's LOVE IS SO DEEP & VAST & EVER NEW THAT ONE CANNOT DESCRIBE IT, YET NONE CAN STAY WITHOUT TELLING ABOUT IT

"प्रेम तो काचे पारे सोए है, खाए नहीं पची है"

"Love is like raw mercury, one cannot digest it"

ब्रज Vrindavan, नव = Fresh / New,  तरुणी = young lady, कदंब = famous tree under which Krishna & His friends used to play, मुकुट मणि = gem on the crown

अब इस पंक्ति में डूब जाइए, इस एक पंक्ति में श्री किशोरी जी के रूप रस का समुद्र उच्छलित हो रहा है - this is indicative of pure love for Sri Radhe

Though all know the Lord's greatness as such, yet none has refrained from describing it. The Vedas have justified it thus; they have variously sung the glory of remembering the Lord

above from: bit.ly/3PLfDcY

Love cannot be described

“मूकास्वाद वत, गुण रहितम, कामना रहितम, सूक्ष्म तरम, अविछिन्नम, प्रतिक्षण वर्धमानम, अनुभव रूपम
दिने दिने, नवम नवम, नमामि नंद संभवम, प्रतिक्षण वर्धमान"

Sutra 54 at

मूकास्वाद वत (like taste done by a dumb, i.e., cannot be described), गुण रहितम (above the three modes of nature)
कामना रहितम (without selfish desire)
सूक्ष्म तरम (subtle-most)
अविछिन्नम (uninterrupted)
अनुभव रूपम (subject matter of only experience, not speaking)
Fresh & New every day
नमामि  = I bow to Lord (नंद)
Who makes possible love - the way it is !
प्रतिक्षण वर्धमानम (increasing at every moment)

GITA SHLOKA 3.39 MAN'S PURE CONSCIOUSNESS IS COVERED BY HIS ETERNAL ENEMY IN THE FORM OF LUST, WHICH IS NEVER SATISFIED AND WHICH BURNS LIKE FIRE,12th July

GITA SHLOKA 3.39  MAN'S PURE CONSCIOUSNESS IS COVERED BY HIS ETERNAL ENEMY IN THE FORM OF LUST, WHICH IS NEVER SATISFIED AND WHICH BURNS LIKE FIRE

TRANSLATION
Thus, a man's pure consciousness is covered by his eternal enemy in the form of lust, which is never satisfied and which burns like fire.

PURPORT
It is said in the Manu-smrti that lust cannot be satisfied by any amount of sense enjoyment, just as fire is never extinguished by a constant supply of fuel.

In the material world, the center of all activities is sex, and thus this material world is called maithunya-agara, or the shackles of sex life.
In the ordinary prison house, criminals are kept within bars; similarly, the criminals who are disobedient to the laws of the Lord are shackled by sex life.

Advancement of material civilization on the basis of sense gratification means increasing the duration of the material existence of a living entity.

Therefore, this lust is the symbol of ignorance by which the living entity is kept within the material world.

While one enjoys sense gratification, it may be that there is some feeling of happiness, but actually that so-called feeling of happiness is the ultimate enemy of the sense enjoyer.

RIVER OF GOD’S LOVE FLOWS IN REVERSE,

RIVER OF GOD’S LOVE FLOWS IN REVERSE

Gopi says “भज” (telling Lord to do their bhajan -using her right which loving devotion to Lord provides) whereas at our ordinary level, we pray to Lord

3. "खुसरो दरिया प्रेम का, उल्टी वा की धार, जो तैरा, सो डूब गया, जो डूबा, सो पार"

ये तैरने की विद्या नहीं है, ये डूबने की विद्या है यहाँ न तो बहुत अधिक बातों का विस्तार हुआ है, न तो बहुत अधिक विचारों का विस्तार हुआ है, "बस जो डूबा इस प्रेम सिंधु में, वो वापिस नहीं निकलते देखा"

4. भक्ति पाने का मार्ग नहीं है , ये अपने आप को खोने का मार्ग है (by way of surrender to Lord as advised by Him in Gita)

6. True that nature records each action & thought - to give back its "fruit" sooner or later, but that is ONLY if we are tied up in कर्म बंधन which happens as long as we do an action EXPECTING it's fruit ,i.e., as long as we do NOT do an action in a self-less way (OR in other words as long as we do NOT dedicate each of our action & thought to ONLY Lord for His sake)  (Self-less ,i.e., निष्काम which is the desired status to be achieved).

However, when we truly develop LOVE FOR LORD, then one realises that TRUE LOVE automatically makes you transcend कर्म बंधन (& one gets liberated) AND THE MOST IMPORTANT SIGN OF  TRUE LOVE IS THAT YOU FEEL HAPPIER TO "GIVE" RATHER THAN “GET” (i.e., EXPECT)    -    typical pure devotees GIVE blessing to Lord & say "चिर जीवे गोपाल" (,i.e., Long Live God) , rather than EXPECT blessing from Lord (Lord’s blessing follows automatically for such devotees, though)  - “बांटने में सुख है, बटोरने में दुख है”

Like in this world, we have opposites , e.g., Every Proverb Has An Equal And An Opposite Proverb!

All good things come to those who wait. But  Time and tide wait for no man.  The pen is mightier than the sword.  But Actions speak louder than words.  Wise men think alike  But  Fools seldom differ.  The best things in life are free.  But  There's no such thing as a free lunch. Slow and steady wins the race.  But Time waits for no man.  Look before you leap.  But Strike while the iron is hot.  Do it well or not at all.  But  Half a loaf is better than none.  Birds of a feather flock together.  But  Opposites attract.  Don't cross your bridges before you come to them.  But Forewarned is forearmed.  Doubt is the beginning of wisdom  But  Faith will move mountains.  Great starts make great finishes.  But  It ain't over until it's over. Practice makes perfect.  But  The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing but expecting different results each time  Silence is golden.  But The squeaky wheel gets the oil. You're never too old to learn. But You can't teach an old dog new tricks. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. But One man's meat is another man's poison.  Absence makes the heart grow fonder.  But  Out of sight, out of mind. Too many cooks spoil the broth. But Many hands make light work. Hold fast to the words of your ancestors. But Wise men make proverbs and fools repeat them... 🖋️✒️🖋️✒️🖋️✒️🖋️✒️🖋️✒️🖋✒️ Wonderful compilation of equal yet opposite proverbs!!

Bhagvat: DISCONTENT IN REGARD TO FULFILLING ONE'S LUSTY DESIRES AND ACHIEVING MORE AND MORE MONEY IS CAUSE FOR THE CONTINUATION OF MATERIAL LIFE, WHICH IS FULL OF REPEATED BIRTH AND DEATH, 11th July

Bhagvat: DISCONTENT IN REGARD TO FULFILLING ONE'S LUSTY DESIRES AND ACHIEVING MORE AND MORE MONEY IS CAUSE FOR THE CONTINUATION OF MATERIAL LIFE, WHICH IS FULL OF REPEATED BIRTH AND DEATH.

TRANSLATION
MATERIAL EXISTENCE CAUSES DISCONTENT IN REGARD TO FULFILLING ONE'S LUSTY DESIRES AND ACHIEVING MORE AND MORE MONEY. THIS IS THE CAUSE FOR THE CONTINUATION OF MATERIAL LIFE, WHICH IS FULL OF REPEATED BIRTH AND DEATH. BUT ONE WHO IS SATISFIED BY THAT WHICH IS OBTAINED BY DESTINY IS FIT FOR LIBERATION FROM THIS MATERIAL EXISTENCE.

TRANSLATION
A BRAHMANA WHO IS SATISFIED WITH WHATEVER IS PROVIDENTIALLY OBTAINED IS INCREASINGLY ENLIGHTENED WITH SPIRITUAL POWER, BUT THE SPIRITUAL POTENCY OF A DISSATISFIED BRAHMANA DECREASES, AS FIRE DIMINISHES IN POTENCY WHEN WATER IS SPRINKLED UPON IT.

TRANSLATION
Therefore, O King (Lord incarnation of Vamana told Bali) , from you, the best of those who give charity, I ask only three paces of land. By such a gift I shall be very pleased, for the way of happiness is to be fully satisfied to receive that which is absolutely needed.

TRANSLATION
Shukadeva Gosvami continued: When the Supreme Personality of Godhead had thus spoken to Bali Maharaja, Bali smiled and told Him, "All right. Take whatever You like." To confirm his promise to give Vamanadeva the desired land, he then took up his waterpot.

TRANSLATION
Understanding Lord Vishnu's purpose, Shukracarya, the best of the learned, immediately spoke as follows to his disciple, who was about to offer everything to Lord Vamanadeva.

TRANSLATION
Shukracarya said: O son of Virocana, this brahmacari in the form of a dwarf is directly the imperishable Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vishnu. Accepting Kashyapa Muni as His father and Aditi as His mother, He has now appeared in order to fulfill the interests of the demigods.

TRANSLATION
You do not know what a dangerous position you have accepted by promising to give Him land. I do not think that this promise is good for you. It will bring great harm to the demons.

TRANSLATION
This person falsely appearing as a brahmachari is actually the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, who has come in this form to take away all your land, wealth, beauty, power, fame and education. After taking everything from you, He will deliver it to Indra, your enemy.

PURPORT
Shrila Vishvanatha Cakravarti Thakura explains in this regard that the very word harim means "one who takes away." If one connects himself with Hari, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Lord takes away all his miseries, and in the beginning the Lord also superficially appears to take away all his material possessions, reputation, education and beauty. As stated in Shrimad-Bhagavatam (10.88.8), yasyaham anugrhnami harishye tad-dhanam shanaim. The Lord said to Maharaja Yudhishthhira, "The first installment of My mercy toward a devotee is that I take away all his possessions, especially his material opulence, his money."

This is the special favor of the Lord toward a sincere devotee. If a sincere devotee wants Krshna above everything but at the same time is attached to material possessions, which hinder his advancement in Krshna consciousness, by tactics the Lord takes away all his possessions. Here Shukracarya says that this dwarf brahmachari would take away everything.

Thus he indicates that the Lord will take away all one's material possessions and also one's mind. If one delivers his mind to the lotus feet of Krshna (sa vai manam krshna-padaravindayom), one can naturally sacrifice everything to satisfy Him. Although Bali Maharaja was a devotee, he was attached to material possessions, and therefore the Lord, being very kind to him, showed him special favor by appearing as Lord Vamana to take away all his material possessions, and his mind as well.
