Bhagvatam: ONE SHOULD FULLY SURRENDER UNTO THE SPIRITUAL MASTER, AND WITH SERVICE (SEVAYÄ) ONE SHOULD APPROACH HIM FOR FURTHER SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT,6th Aug

Bhagvatam: ONE SHOULD FULLY SURRENDER UNTO THE SPIRITUAL MASTER, AND WITH SERVICE (SEVAYÄ) ONE SHOULD APPROACH HIM FOR FURTHER SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT.

TRANSLATION
King Indra said: Therefore with great frankness and without duplicity I shall now bow my head at the lotus feet of Brhaspati, the spiritual master of the demigods. Because he is in the mode of goodness, he is fully aware of all knowledge and is the best of the brähmanas. Now I shall touch his lotus feet and offer my obeisances unto him to try to satisfy him.

PURPORT
Coming to his senses, King Indra realized that he was not a very sincere disciple of his spiritual master, Brhaspati.

Therefore he decided that henceforward he would be nishatha, nonduplicitous.

Nishatham shirshna-tac-caranam sprshan: he decided to touch his head to the feet of his spiritual master.

From this example, we should learn this principle enunciated by Vishvanätha Chakravarti Thäkura:

"By the mercy of the spiritual master one is benedicted by the mercy of Krshna.

Without the grace of the spiritual master, one cannot make any advancement.”

A disciple should never be a hypocrite or be unfaithful to his spiritual master.

In Srimad-Bhägavatam (11.17.27), the spiritual master is also called ächärya.

Ächäryam mäm vijäniyän: the Supreme Personality of Godhead says that one should respect the spiritual master, accepting him as the Lord Himself.

Nävamanyeta karhicit: one should not disrespect the ächärya at any time.

Na martya-buddhyäsüyeta: one should never think the ächärya an ordinary person.

Familiarity sometimes breeds contempt, but one should be very careful in one's dealings with the ächärya.

Agädha-dhishanam dvijam: the ächärya is a perfect brähmana and has unlimited intelligence in guiding the activities of his disciple.

Therefore Krshna advises in Bhagavad-gitä (4.34):
"Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. The self-realized soul can impart knowledge unto you because he has seen the truth.”

One should fully surrender unto the spiritual master, and with service (sevayä) one should approach him for further spiritual enlightenment.

UNLESS MIND IS MADE TO ANCHOR ITSELF AT LORD’S FEET, IT WILL ALWAYS BE RESTLESS #Blog0073

UNLESS MIND IS MADE TO ANCHOR ITSELF AT LORD’S FEET, IT WILL ALWAYS BE RESTLESS

Excellent Introspection article & Very True:

Unless mind is made to anchor itself at Lord’s feet, it will always be restless & looking for “next moment”/ “next destination”/  “on hunt for a different सुख” as we (basically our “mind” as our subtle body (,i.e., mind always exists even after death & accompanies us to next birth & always remains -basically we are nothing but our mind (मन) constitutionally parts & parcel of Lord but separated for ages from Him – so our mind is always on the lookout for eternal bliss available only in Lord but mind does not know where to find exactly that same bliss – our “good sense” (inner conscience) has to act wisely & remind the foolish mind to find love only in Lord & nowhere else – only then it can find peace & rest – otherwise it’ll always be full of anxieties

Mind is dumb -

mind is always eager & looking for to grab a “more” pleasurable thing – on getting something better, it would drop “lesser” item

इसे प्रभु का नाम बताइए, प्रभु का रूप पकड़वाइए – केवल तभी it can find peace (शांति) -never otherwise as otherwise mind would keep holding to petty worldly pleasures – mind needs  to be controlled by wisdom/conscience of soul – otherwise mind controls us & we do as our mind dictates

Taine kahan laga di aisi der

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvVxeF7Iw4o

Taine kahan laga di aesi der

https://rb.gy/9ww3ik

mujhko teri tamanna, mujhe teri arzoo hai

GITA-SHLOKA-4.21 As a machine part requires oiling and cleaning for maintenance, similarly, a Krsna conscious man maintains himself by his work just to remain fit for action in the transcendental loving service of the Lord, 4th Aug

GITA-SHLOKA-4.21 As a machine part requires oiling and cleaning for maintenance, similarly, a Krsna conscious man maintains himself by his work just to remain fit for action in the transcendental loving service of the Lord.

TRANSLATION
Such a man of understanding acts with mind and intelligence perfectly controlled, gives up all sense of proprietorship over his possessions and acts only for the bare necessities of life. Thus working, he is not affected by sinful reactions.
PURPORT
A Krsna conscious person does not expect good or bad results in his activities.

His mind and intelligence are fully controlled.

He knows that he is part and parcel of the Supreme, and therefore the part played by him, as a part and parcel of the whole, is not his by choice but is chosen for him by the Supreme and is done only through His agency.

When the hand moves, it does not move out of its own accord, but by the endeavor of the whole body.

A Krsna conscious person is always dovetailed with the supreme desire, for he has no desire for personal sense gratification.

He moves exactly like a part of a machine.

As a machine part requires oiling and cleaning for maintenance, similarly, a Krsna conscious man maintains himself by his work just to remain fit for action in the transcendental loving service of the Lord.

He is therefore immune to all the reactions of his endeavors.

Like an animal, he has no proprietorship even over his own body.

A cruel proprietor of an animal sometimes kills the animal in his possession, yet the animal does not protest.

Nor does it have any real independence.

A Krsna conscious person, fully engaged in self-realization, has very little time to falsely possess any material object.

For maintaining body and soul, he does not require unfair means of accumulating money.

He does not, therefore, become contaminated by such material sins.

He is free from all reactions to his actions.
