The Radha-Krishna Story No one Told You – The ONLY WAY to Krishna Bhakti | Swami Mukundananda
1 [00:00] Krishna is considered the Shakti-maan (the possessor of power), and Radha is the Shakti (the power itself). Devotees are instructed not to see any difference between the two divine personalities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=0 2 [00:25] Just as various words like pani or jal refer to the single entity of water, Radha and Krishna are different words for the same entity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=25 3 [00:49] This is a poetic way to explain the non-difference between Radha and Krishna; they cannot be separated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=49 4 [01:12] He illustrates this non-separation with analogies: you cannot separate the aroma from a flower, heat from the fire, or the whiteness of milk from the milk, or the moonshine from the moon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=72 5 [01:36] Similarly, Radha and Krishna are non-different; the one divine personality has taken on two forms to enhance His experience of bliss. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=96 6 [02:03] He narrates a pastime (leela): Once Radharani was sleeping, and Sri Krishna approached her. He observed that from every pore of her body, the name "Shyam Shyam" was emanating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=123 7 [02:24] Seeing the depth of Radha's love, Sri Krishna fainted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=144 8 [02:48] When Radha awoke and saw Krishna, she observed that from every pore of His body, the name "Radhe Radhe" was coming. She realized the immensity of Krishna's love for her and she fainted in turn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=168 9 [03:15] They continuously went in and out of consciousness, demonstrating the prema-ras (the bliss of divine love). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=195 10 [03:26] The Lord manifested as two to relish this kind of enhanced bliss, which would not have been possible retaining only one identity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=206 11 [03:41] Shri Maharaj-ji states that Radha is the Hladini Shakti (the bliss-giving potency) of Sri Krishna. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=221 12 [03:55] A divine leela is that in the divine realm, Krishna becomes anugat (the servant) of Radha. This is beyond human intellect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=235 13 [04:15] There are apparently contradictory pastimes (virodh abas) in the Radha-Krishna leelas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=255 14 [04:21] They are one, yet in the Krishna avatar leelas, Sri Krishna gave Radharani separation (viraha) for 114 years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=261 15 [04:53] Radha's only goal is to serve Krishna, yet in the divine pastimes, she often gets Krishna to serve her (e.g., "I will sit on the swing, and you swing me"). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=293 16 [05:16] Her goal is to fulfill Krishna's wish, but they also engage in fighting (maan leelas) in their divine pastimes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=316 17 [05:49] Radharani plays "hard to get" because she knows that if she is too easy to attain, Krishna's bliss will reduce. When He finally meets her, His bliss is enhanced. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=349 18 [06:08] Radharani is an expert in making Sri Krishna savor the bliss of divine love, which is why she deliberately gets annoyed or takes the superior position to make Krishna serve her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=368 19 [06:58] To further enhance Radharani's bliss, Krishna grants her separation (viraha). In separation, her infinite love is enhanced even further, which is an inconceivable phenomenon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=418 20 [07:44] According to Kripaluji Maharaj, longing for God in separation (Viyog) is a higher state of bliss than union (Sanyog). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=464 21 [08:04] The reason is that in union, you see God in one place, but in viyog, although the physical separation exists, the mind (chit) is completely united with Krishna internally (Sanyog). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=484 22 [08:37] The whole world then seems permeated by Krishna. Together, they relish the highest pastime called Prem-Vivarta-Vilas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=517 23 [09:00] In this leela, while in union, Radha starts thinking about the pain of separation, and simultaneously Krishna starts thinking about the pain of Radha's absence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=540 24 [09:44] Their love reaches a state where they both forget everything: Radha thinks she has become Krishna, and Krishna thinks He has become Radha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=584 25 [10:18] Sometimes, the Shyam (Krishna) consciousness goes into Radha, and she begins to utter "Shyam Shyam." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=618 26 [10:31] These topics belong to the highest stage of divine love (prema) relished between Radha, the Hladini Shakti, and Krishna, the Shakti-maan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=631 27 [10:44] Our tiny intellect cannot comprehend this; it is experienced by them in their eternal leelas (nitya-leela). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=644 28 [11:00] A small amount of this divine love exudes into the nikunj, where the Ashta Mahasakhi (eight principal gopis) participate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=660 29 [11:14] Radha's subordinate energies (anugamini shaktis) are the Ashta Mahasakhis (Lalita, Vishakha, etc.), each personifying a kala (divine art) to serve the divine couple. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=674 30 [11:52] These Ashta Mahasakhis are not ordinary souls; they are expansions of God themselves, and their devotion is called ragaatmika bhakti. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=712 31 [12:14] Small drops of this nikunja-ras were distributed in the world by great saints like Surdas, Rasan, and the saints of Vrindavan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=734 32 [12:58] The love that Radharani has for Sri Krishna cannot even be conceived. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=778 33 [13:17] The speaker cites the Suktisudhakar, describing the Virah agni (the burning fire of agony) that develops in Radha's heart when she is separated from Krishna. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=797 34 [14:29] If the aabhas (faint reflection) of the smoke from the fire of separation burning in Radharani's heart were to escape her body, the entire universe (Brahman) would be decimated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=869 35 [14:55] However, by the power of yoga-maya, she keeps this infinite intensity of longing contained within herself, giving a small idea of the immense magnitude of that divine love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AM-wAdD9WA&t=895It is all about Krishna and contains list of Holy Spiritual Books, extracts from Srimad Bhagvat, Gita and other gist of wisdom learnt from God kathas - updated with new posts frequently

Swami Mukundananda
Main Points
1. Saint Kanakadasa – Faith Beyond Caste 1. Kanakadasa, a devotee from a so-called lower caste in South India, longed to follow the teachings of the great guru Vyasaraja. 2. Though initially denied initiation, he sincerely practiced chanting as instructed, showing deep devotion. 3. His faith was tested multiple times, including during Ekadashi, when he realized there is no place hidden from God’s sight. 4. When barred from entering the Udupi Krishna temple due to caste discrimination, he prayed outside with tears. 5. In response, the temple wall broke and the deity of Krishna turned around to face him, proving that true devotion surpasses caste and rituals. ________________________________________ 2. Saint Dhanna Jaat – The Stubborn Faith of a Simple Farmer 1. Dhanna Jaat, a humble farmer from North India, was given a stone by a priest, jokingly calling it a Shaligram. 2. Taking it with full faith, Dhanna treated the stone as Krishna Himself, bathing it, feeding it, and waiting for it to eat. 3. When “Krishna” did not eat, Dhanna refused to eat as well, fasting for seven days in stubborn love. 4. Finally, Krishna Himself appeared from the stone and began eating the food, overwhelmed by Dhanna’s sincerity. 5. Touched by this devotion, Krishna blessed Dhanna with divine knowledge of all scriptures directly in his heart. ________________________________________ 3. Saint Poonthanam – Love for the Bhagavatam 1. Poonthanam, a great devotee from Kerala, dedicated his life to the Guruvayur deity, walking miles daily for darshan. 2. He spent his days immersed in reciting the Bhagavatam, and Lord Shiva Himself delighted in hearing his explanations, even secretly adjusting his bookmark so Poonthanam would continue longer. 3. Once, bandits attacked him and tried to steal his beloved scripture, but a mysterious young man rescued him and returned the book. 4. When Poonthanam reached Guruvayur temple, he realized the rescuer was none other than Lord Krishna Himself. 5. This showed that for the Lord, the devotee’s love for His name and scripture is more precious than wealth or rituals. https://youtu.be/jNGL1M9oAz8यह वीडियो तीन संतों—कनकदास, धन्ना जाट, और पूंथानाम—की कहानियों के माध्यम से बताता है कि भक्ति का संबंध जाति या कर्मकांड से नहीं, बल्कि सच्ची भावना, विश्वास और भगवान के प्रति प्रगाढ़ अनुराग से है।

Intro
0:00
Bharat the son of Rishab Dev had the
0:03
ambition I wish to become Chakravarti
0:06
emperor one of the brothers was Bahubali
0:08
so Bahubali said I am willing to battle
0:11
We’ll both do a malyudh a wrestling match
0:15
and whoever wins will be declared the
0:17
winner so it was agreed it would be a
0:20
fight without any weapons
0:24
and the fight began where Bharat
0:28
realized he's going to lose. So he
0:31
did a cheating. He called a weapon
0:34
called chakra ratna that he had got from
0:37
his father and he released the weapon to
0:40
kill Bahubali. But he forgot that father
0:44
has said you cannot use it on any family
0:46
member. It will not work. Bahubali got
0:49
annoyed. He picked up Bharat and threw him
0:52
on the ground and then got onto his
0:54
chest and he was about to box him when
0:57
he had a change of mind he said forgive
1:00
me in my irreverence I forgot I am
1:04
supposed to respect elders to hell with
1:06
this kingdom he left his kingdom he left
1:10
everything and became a sadhu took sanyas
1:13
so for him this kingdom is now nothing
1:17
he values something else beyond that
1:20
likewise Sri Krishna says that when you
1:24
have that kind of happiness as samadhi sukh
1:28
one is not shaken even in the midst of
1:32
the greatest calamity.
1:36
Bhagavat Gita chapter 6 dhyan yog the yog
1:40
of meditation shloka chanting is
1:43
followed by translation and commentary
1:46
by swami mukundanandha.
2:14
having gained that state, one does not
2:18
consider any attainment to be greater.
2:23
Being thus established, one is not
2:26
shaken even in the midst of the greatest
2:31
calamity.
2:34
What an amazing statement.
2:38
Sri Krishna says when you get that kind
2:41
of happiness, you will say there's
2:43
nothing greater than this. Now see, if
2:49
somebody is poor
2:51
and you offer that person
2:54
$1,000,
2:56
that person will say, "Oh my god, today
2:58
is my lucky day. I would have to work
3:01
one month for $1,000 and today I just
3:04
got it straight.
3:06
Oh god, you're so kind."
3:08
But another person is a billionaire.
3:12
He's got in his bank balance one with
3:14
nine zeros in front.
3:16
You say, "Mr. Billionaire,
3:19
God is so kind on you today. He's
3:21
inspired me to give you 1,000 rupees."
3:25
The billionaire will say, "I have got
3:27
1,000 million." What is this 1,000?
3:30
He will, look at it with disdain (contempt). No big
3:33
deal.
3:35
Likewise when we are running after
3:39
material happiness and we get a higher
3:42
happiness.
3:44
Oh wow.
3:46
I was living in a condominium (small flat) in Irving
3:50
and now I got a bungalow house in Allen.
3:53
It's a promotion.
3:56
Like Indians when they first come to
3:58
Dallas they come to Irving and live in
4:00
condos, right? And then they move to
4:02
Allen Plano and Frisco.
4:05
So wow my dream come true.
4:10
But Sri Krishna says that when you have
4:13
that samadhi sukh then you will say no it
4:17
doesn't matter wherever it is I got such
4:20
a big happiness
4:23
nothing can disturb my peace.
4:28
Why ? I have found something truly
4:31
valuable
4:33
That value is the thing. What have you
4:37
valued?
4:39
Bharat we have heard of. One Bharat was the
4:43
brother of Ram.
4:46
And there was another Bharat
4:49
the son of Shakuntala.
4:51
And there was a third Bharat the son of
4:55
Rishab Dev
4:57
of Jad Bharat fame. So Rishab Dev had
5:02
100 sons.
5:05
81 of them became Karma-kandis.
5:09
Nine became the Yogeshwar
5:12
and Bharat and nine brothers, Rishabdev
5:17
made them kings of different places on
5:20
the planet.
5:21
So Bharat was the eldest and he had the
5:25
ambition I wish to become chakravarti
5:29
emperor.
5:31
So he went out on a dig vijayi yatra. They used
5:35
to have this chariot driving that
5:38
anybody stops then we will fight them in
5:40
battle. If they give way they have
5:43
accepted subjugation. So you subjugate
5:46
all the other kings and become emperor.
5:51
So all the other brothers said you know
5:53
Bharat is so powerful. Sure.
5:57
One of the brothers was Bahubali.
6:00
He said I got this kingdom from my
6:03
father who is Bharat to cast his greedy
6:07
eyes on it. So Bahubali said I am
6:10
willing to battle you.
6:13
And people said look Bharat and Bahubali
6:16
are brothers. So why engage
6:18
in bloodshed? Let us do a compromise.
6:22
You both do a malyudh, a wrestling match
6:25
and whoever wins will be declared the
6:28
winner.
6:30
So it was agreed it would be a fight
6:33
without any weapons
6:36
and the fight began. Now Bhat was bigger
6:40
but Bahubali was more brawny
6:43
and they reached a stage where Bharat
6:47
realized he's going to lose.
6:50
So he did a cheating. He called a weapon
6:53
called chakra ratna that he had got from
6:56
his father
6:58
and he released the weapon
7:01
to kill Bahubali.
7:04
But he forgot that father has said you
7:07
cannot use it on any family member. It
7:10
will not work. He released it and the
7:13
weapon came straight to Bahubali and
7:17
stopped.
7:19
So the weapon didn't do anything to
7:20
Bahubali but Bahubali got annoyed. You
7:23
broke the rules
7:25
my dear brother. He picked up Bharat and
7:29
threw him on the ground and then got
7:31
onto his chest and he was about to box
7:35
him
7:37
when he had a change of mind.
7:40
He said, "Forgive me.
7:42
In my irreverence (disrespect),
7:46
I forgot I am supposed to respect elders,
7:50
Fie upon (shame on) this kingdom, to hell with this
7:53
kingdom." He left his kingdom. He left
7:56
everything and became a sadhu. Took
7:58
sanyas.
8:00
So for him this kingdom is now nothing.
8:04
He values something else beyond that,
8:08
his respect to the elders.
8:11
So this is when you feel that these
8:14
things cannot disturb me. And when you
8:16
have got that kind of happiness
8:20
then what happens? Nothing can disturb.
8:25
See if the stream is very
8:28
shallow
8:30
then it keeps on drowning others
8:33
a little extra water and it's inundating
8:36
here inundating there but if the ocean
8:39
is so deep
8:42
then it doesn't drown anyone it doesn't
8:44
inundate anyone
8:47
likewise Shri Krishna says that when you
8:50
have that kind of happiness “ये लब्ध्वा चापरे लाभं मन्यते नाधिक”
“Having obtained which, one considers no other gain superior to it; and established in which, one is not moved even by great sorrow”
https://vedabase.io/en/library/bg/6/20-23/
8:58
You will think there is nothing greater
9:00
than this. And
9:06
even if you get a big misery,
9:10
you will not feel disturbed.
9:14
This is something worth practicing.
9:18
What is that? to be peaceful in the
9:23
midst of disturbing circumstances.
9:27
Now when the circumstances are not
9:29
disturbing and people are at peace that
9:33
anybody can do.
9:35
When the circumstances are adverse
9:39
and still you are at peace then you are
9:42
a sadhak then you are practicing mind
9:46
control.
9:48
So we people
9:50
have a long way to go because we allow
9:54
little things to disturb our peace.
9:58
Somebody created one sentence joining a
10:03
few letters “tu gadha hai”
10:07
some crazy guy
10:10
said “you are a donkey”. Now by his saying
10:13
do we become a donkey? Of course not.
10:16
But why do we allow that to disturb our
10:19
peace?
10:20
Because we have not yet found the peace
10:24
that surpasseth all understanding.
10:28
That peace is not dependent on
10:32
externals.
10:34
It is within us. It will require getting
10:39
a taste of the higher bliss. That is
10:43
what Sri Krishna has said out here.
10:49
So Socrates used to do an interesting
10:52
thing.
10:55
He would go to the marketplace in Athens
10:57
and look around
11:00
and he would not buy anything. He would
11:03
just look around and come back.
11:06
So somebody asked that every day you go
11:08
to the market, what do you do? You don't
11:11
purchase anything.
11:13
Socrates said I like to think of the
11:16
number of things I can do without.
11:19
I am able to do without this, able to do
11:21
without that etc. This able to do. That is the
11:24
achievement. That is the accomplishment.

The UNTOLD Power of Shree Radha – What Every Krishna Devotee MUST Know by Swami Mukundanand
The UNTOLD Power of Shree Radha – What Every Krishna Devotee MUST Know by Swami Mukundanand
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw Main Points:1. 1:06–1:16 — Devotees say “Radhe Radhe” because Radha is the divine mother, whose grace leads to Krishna.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=66
2. 1:30–1:54 — Just as a mother’s love surpasses the father’s in worldly life, Radha’s spiritual position is higher than Krishna’s.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=90
3. 2:04–3:23 — A story illustrates how only the mother can help a child recognize the father—symbolizing Radha’s role in revealing Krishna.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=124
4. 3:36–4:15 — Saints like Tulsidas turned to Sita when Ram didn’t respond, trusting the mother’s compassion.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=216
5. 4:45–5:23 — Radha and Krishna are one divine entity; Shukadev couldn’t utter Radha’s name directly due to overwhelming love.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=285
6. 5:30–6:43 — Radha feigned (pretended) pride to relieve her sakhis’ pain, leading Krishna to disappear, deepening the gopis’ longing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=330
7. 5:46–7:18 — Radha repents and joins the gopis in crying for Krishna, birthing the divine Gopi Geet.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=346
8. 8:04–9:23 — Gopis express intense separation, cursing Brahma for giving only two blinking eyes that hinder darshan.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=484
9. 9:46–11:10 — Their selfless love peaks in concern for Krishna’s bare feet in thorny forests but refusing to even let their breasts hurt Him, as they would be too hard for His feet.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQapVcSeXw&t=586
10. 11:13–11:28 — Moved by their devotion, Krishna reappears from a bush, ending their divine search.

1:06
Sometimes people ask Swami ji why do you
1:10
all say Radhe Radhe?
1:13
Why don't you say Krishna Krishna?
1:16
Because Radha is the mother.
1:30
See even in the world between the mother
1:34
and the father the position of the
1:37
mother is higher because of her love
1:41
because of her sacrifice. So the
1:44
spiritual mother and the spiritual
1:46
father Radha and Krishna Sitha and Ram
1:52
between the two of them the mother's
1:54
position is higher
1:59
One boy and his mother,
2:04
When the boy was a four year-old, the
2:07
father had gone away
2:10
to earn a living
2:13
and he stayed in a foreign land for 15
2:17
years.
2:18
Finally, he sent the message that I am
2:21
returning.
2:23
So the mother and the child, he was now
2:27
19 years old, they were both really
2:31
excited.
2:32
They were living in a little village in
2:34
India.
2:36
When they got that letter,
2:39
the father said, "I'm coming back
2:43
by this train."
2:45
So they went to the railway station so
2:47
eager to meet the father.
2:51
The train was arriving at the platform.
2:54
There were people standing.
2:56
This young man was now so excited. he
3:00
would be meeting his father after 15
3:02
years. As the train approached, he
3:05
started running
3:07
and the mother smiled
3:10
that my child
3:12
until I point him out to you, you won't
3:16
even be able to recognize your father.
3:21
It is the mother who says, "Look, this
3:23
is your father."
3:25
So when we say Radhe Radhe,
3:28
what we mean to say is, the full thing is Radhe Radhe Shyam milade.
3:33
Oh divine mother please help me meet the
3:36
father. So Tulsidas ji also in the Vinay Patrika
3:42
he first prays to Ram and then he sees
3:45
the father is not responding.
3:48
So he decides the mother is more kind.
3:50
She's got a softer heart. Well, he then
3:54
prays to Sita.
4:15
Oh my dear mother if ever you get a
4:18
chance please tell my case to father if
4:23
you give the recommendation there's a
4:25
good chance so whether it is Radha or
4:30
Sita or Parvati they are the divine
4:33
mother the Yogmaya and they are
4:36
not different from the Shaktimaan
(see note below)
4:45
The Shaktimaan and the Shakti are two
4:49
aspects of the one divine entity.
4:53
See the name of Radha comes in this way
4:58
because Shukadev, the speaker of Srimad Bhagavatam, his
5:01
original personality is, he's a leela
5:04
shuk (parrot). He is the parrot in Radh Krishna
5:07
pastimes from Radha ji's side. He has
5:10
such love for Radha. If he says Radha, he
5:13
will faint and he has to complete the
5:15
Srimad Bhagavatam in seven days, as Takshak, the snake, is
5:19
going to come (& bite Parikshit to death). So he says I cannot
5:21
faint. That's why he doesn't directly
5:23
say Radha but indirectly he mentions
5:28
this Gopi has done Vishesh Aradhana (special worship)
5:30
So Krishna took Radha and disappeared.
5:34
Now the gopis realize their folly. I
5:38
messed up my devotion.
5:42
Don't we all feel from time to time? The
5:44
mind was absolutely perfect. Now what
5:46
happened? So the gopis they repented,
5:49
they cried, they were searching for
5:52
Krishna from forest to forest going in
5:54
the night
5:56
and Krishna is going with Radha.
6:00
However, Radha
6:03
decided that you know my sakhis are in so
6:07
much of pain of separation. This is not
6:10
good. So Radha created the abhinaya (drama) the
6:14
acting of pride.
6:17
She said to Krishna that I am tired. So
6:20
Krishna said let me hold your hand. No
6:23
you put me on your back and carry me.
6:28
Krishna said really so ? this abhiman has
6:32
come into you as well. So Krishna bent
6:35
down & said lift your leg. Radha ji
6:39
lifted her leg and Krishna disappeared.
6:43
He left Radha as well. Now the gopis
6:47
were searching. They're seeing two steps
6:50
of footsteps.
6:52
Searching searching searching until they
6:53
find one step of footsteps. What
6:56
happened? Where did Radha go? And there
7:00
they found Radharani.
7:02
So they came to her. What happened? She
7:05
said, you know, I did vyabhichar. I did
7:08
wrong thinking and this is the
7:10
punishment. So Radha combined with the
7:13
gopis and now they cried for Krishna.
7:18
So the verses that they spoke
7:22
is the Gopi Geet.
7:25
So the Gopi Geet 19 verses now this is
7:28
the mukut mani (peak of devotion), it shows the essence of
7:32
devotion. It is not possible to cover
7:35
this here. Rest assured that the gopis
7:38
express the highest sentiments of
7:40
devotion. Just to give you a sample let
7:43
me tell you one “verse” of Srimad Bhagavatam 10.31.15
8:04
The gopis say, "O Shayam Sundar,
8:10
when you used to go grazing the cows in
8:13
the forest and we could not see you
8:17
during the daytime,
8:19
the pain that would burn in our heart, a
8:24
moment would seem like an age long.
8:37
When will He come? When will He come?
8:38
And finally when You would return to braj
8:42
with the cows
8:44
and we would stand there and have darshan
8:48
at that time we would curse Brahma,
8:55
This Brahma has got an inert intellect.
8:59
He has given only two eyes for darshan
9:02
Flies have thousands of eyes. He could
9:05
have given us many eyes.
9:07
And even on those eyes he has created
9:09
eyelids.
9:11
So when we look and the eyelids blink
9:14
the darshan gets disturbed. Now the eyelids
9:17
do blink. We don't realize it's a nimesh
9:19
matra only (only for a little while). But even that is intolerable to
9:23
the gopis.
9:25
So now gopis say the last verse of Gopi Geet “verse’
9:46
Oh Shyam Sundar,
9:48
when burning in pain to meet you, we
9:52
would finally find you and get the
9:55
opportunity to place Your foot on our
9:59
chest.
10:00
We would be so careful
10:03
that our breast is hard. It should not
10:07
hurt you.
10:09
That is our sentiment to You.
10:12
And You walk in the forest
10:16
barefoot.
10:18
You see Krishna being a cowherd.
10:22
When He would walk
10:24
the niyam (rule) for go charan is you go
10:29
barefoot.
10:31
Now the forest is a difficult place.
10:35
There are all these thorns and pebbles
10:38
etc. Yashoda once asked Krishna look
10:42
I'll put shoes on, at least you walk with
10:44
shoes. Krishna said when I am doing go
10:49
charan the cows are my worshipable they
10:53
are my isht.
10:55
The isht dev is not wearing shoes and the bhakt
10:58
wears shoes. How can that be? So Krishna
11:01
always refused. The gopis say we would
11:04
just think of Your feet falling there
11:07
and it would pain us so much. They are
11:10
expressing their selflessness.
11:13
So finally Krishna melted.
11:17
He manifested from a bush.
11:20
The gopis saw here He is. We are
11:23
running here and there from forest to
11:24
forest. Here He is. They all ran to grab
11:28
him.
Note:
(Meaning):
