1 God is ocean of bliss - Vedant Darshan says and we are His little parts. So we are naturally drawn to that bliss. Just like a river flows to the ocean. The river was created from the ocean.

It was the water vapor of the ocean that rose up into a cloud & the cloud then came to the land and poured down and gathered into the river and the river is now flowing, where - to the ocean, how long will the river flow - until it meets the ocean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK_tI3wQDSg&t=0 2 So, similarly, we are little parts of the ocean of bliss, which is God. So we are naturally seeking bliss. So what I have just explained to you all is three natures of God : Sat Chit and Anand.  God is Sat, eternal, as his little parts we seek to be eternal, hence, we have the desire for life.  God is chit - full of knowledge. As his fragments (अंश), we also wish to be full of knowledge, like Him, hence the yearning to know.  God is Anand and as his little tiny fragments, we also wish to be आनंदमय like God. So Sat Chit Anand is the nature of God.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK_tI3wQDSg&t=68 3 From these three aspects of God, comes our nature, to seek life, to seek knowledge and to seek bliss.  That is why the conclusion is that whether we know it or not, we are all searching for God. Some people they may deny & say I don't believe in God. But do you believe in happiness? Of course, I am trying to be happy 24 hours a day – but that happiness that you are seeking is God.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK_tI3wQDSg&t=147 4 It's like a child goes to the mother and says mummy I don't believe in your husband. The mother says, my dear child, what are you speaking? Do you believe in your father? Yes, I love my papa but I don't believe in your husband. The mother says my dear child, that person whom I address as husband, you address as father, they are not two personalities, they are two ways of addressing one personality.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK_tI3wQDSg&t=183 5 Similarly, somebody may say I am an atheist, I don't believe in God, even that person is engaging in devotion of happiness, and that happiness is God Himself in this matter.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK_tI3wQDSg&t=216 6 There is no duality, you know, even the biggest materialistic philosophers in our Indian tradition, there was Charvak & so Charvak’s philosophy. You may have heard his words, famous words. He said that you are the body, when the body is finished, you are finished. There is no after life. No need to waste your intellect over such matters.  As long as you live, be happy. If you get happiness from ghee, beg, borrow or steal but drink ghee. You know, translated to today's context beg, borrow or steal but take your Vodka and be happy. So although Charvak is so materialistic, what is Charvak’s goal?  Charvak wanted happiness, and in the west we have had so many materialistic philosophers, Sigmund Freud, Karl Marx,  Adam Smith, Berkley etc. They have written big tons of literature.  And when you read them, you will find that they were also proposing different theories on how to be happy. So we all want to be happy. That means we all want God. So our goal is determined & the goal of life is to realize God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK_tI3wQDSg&t=230 Standby link (in case youtube link does not work): The goal of life is to seek God, sat-chit-ananda Part 4 Goal of Human Life by Swami Mukundananada.mp4
