GITA-SHLOKA-4.22 & 4.23: He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady both in success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions,5th Aug

GITA-SHLOKA-4.22 He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady both in success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions.

TRANSLATION
He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady both in success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions.
PURPORT
A Krsna conscious person does not make much endeavor even to maintain his body.

He is satisfied with gains which are obtained of their own accord.

He neither begs nor borrows, but he labors honestly as far as is in his power, and is satisfied with whatever is obtained by his own honest labor.

He is therefore independant in his livelihood.

He does not allow anyone's service to hamper his own service in Krsna consciousness.

However, for the service of the Lord he can participate in any kind of action without being disturbed by the duality of the material world.

The duality of the material world is felt in terms of heat and cold, or misery and happiness.

A Krsna conscious person is above duality because he does not hesitate to act in any way for the satisfaction of Krsna.

Therefore he is steady both in success and in failure.

These signs are visible when one is fully in transcendental knowledge.

Gita shloka 4.23
TRANSLATIONThe work of a man who is unattached to the modes of material nature and who is fully situated in transcendental knowledge merges entirely into transcendence.

PURPORT
Becoming fully Krsna conscious, one is freed from all dualities and thus is free from the contaminations of the material modes.

He can become liberated because he knows his constitutional position in relationship with Krsna; and thus his mind cannot be drawn from Krsna consciousness.

Consequently, whatever he does, he does for Krsna, who is the primeval Visnu.

Therefore, all his works are technically sacrifices because sacrifice involves satisfying the Supreme Person, Krsna.

The resultant reactions to all such work certainly merge into transcendence, and one does not suffer material effects.

Bhagvatam: There must be ideal, first-class men to act as advisors (brahmana), second-class men to act as administrators (Kshatriya), third-class men to produce food and protect cows (Vaisyas), and fourth-class men (Shudras) who obey the three higher classes of society,4th Aug

Bhagvatam: There must be ideal, first-class men to act as advisors (brahmana), second-class men to act as administrators (Kshatriya), third-class men to produce food and protect cows (Vaisyas), and fourth-class men (Shudras) who obey the three higher classes of society. One who does not follow the standard system of society should be considered a fifth-class man.

TRANSLATION
If a person says, "One who is situated on the exalted throne of a king should not stand up to show respect to another king or a brähmana," it is to be understood that he does not know the superior religious principles.

PURPORT
Srila Vishvanätha Chakravarti Thäkura says in this regard that when a president or king is sitting on his throne, he does not need to show respect to everyone who comes within his assembly, but he must show respect to superiors like his spiritual master, brähmanas and Vaishnavas.

There are many examples of how he should act.

When Lord Krshna was sitting on His throne and Närada fortunately entered His assembly, even Lord Krshna immediately stood up with His officers and ministers to offer respectful obeisances to Närada.

Närada knew that Krshna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and Krshna knew that Närada was His devotee, but although Krshna is the Supreme Lord and Närada is the Lord's devotee, the Lord observed the religious etiquette.

Since Närada was a brahmachäri, a brähmana and an exalted devotee, even Krshna, while acting as a king, offered His respectful obeisances unto Närada.

Such is the conduct visible in the Vedic civilization.

A civilization in which the people do not know how the representative of Närada and Krshna should be respected, how society should be formed and how one should advance in Krshna consciousness—a society concerned only with manufacturing new cars and new skyscrapers every year and then breaking them to pieces and making new ones—may be technologically advanced, but it is not a human civilization.

A human civilization is advanced when its people follow the chätur-varnya system, the system of four orders of life.

There must be ideal, first-class men to act as advisors, second-class men to act as administrators, third-class men to produce food and protect cows, and fourth-class men who obey the three higher classes of society.

One who does not follow the standard system of society should be considered a fifth-class man.

A society without Vedic laws and regulations will not be very helpful to humanity.

As stated in this verse, dharmam te na param vidum: such a society does not know the aim of life and the highest principle of religion.

THE FEELING OF LOVE (FOR LORD) IS GREATER THAN MERE WORSHIP #Blog0026

IF NOTHING ELSE, I CAN ATLEAST PRAY TO HIM WHILE LEFT ALL ALONE

THEREFORE I CAN FIND BLISSFUL COMPANY IN MY SOLITUDE

I CANNOT MEET HIM WHENEVER I WISH

BUT I CAN ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM WHENEVER I WANT

with only your sincere effort towards Him, you can make your life successful

God's
only if you yourselves wish to uplift yourself, can God help you - otherwise a bowl if kept upturned cannot be filled even if torrential rain falls till eternity.

GITA SHLOKA 4.18 & 4.19, THE SENSE OF ETERNAL SERVITORSHIP TO KRSNA MAKES ONE IMMUNE TO ALL SORTS OF REACTIONARY ELEMENTS OF WORK (,I.E., HE TRANSCENDS BONDING TO REACTIONS OF ALL KARMA),2nd Aug

GITA SHLOKA 4.18, THE SENSE OF ETERNAL SERVITORSHIP TO KRSNA MAKES ONE IMMUNE TO ALL SORTS OF REACTIONARY ELEMENTS OF WORK (,I.E., HE TRANSCENDS BONDING TO REACTIONS OF ALL KARMA)

TRANSLATION
One who sees inaction in action, and action in inaction, is intelligent among men, and he is in the trancendental position, although engaged in all sorts of activities.

PURPORT
A person acting in Krsna consciousness is naturally free from the bonds of karma.

His activities are all performed for Krsna; therefore he does not enjoy or suffer any of the effects of work.

Consequently he is intelligent in human society, even though he is engaged in all sorts of activities for Krsna.

Akarma means without reaction to work.

The impersonalist ceases fruitive activities out of fear, so that the resultant action may not be a stumbling block on the path of self-realization, but the personalist knows rightly his position as the eternal servitor of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Therefore he engages himself in the activities of Krsna consciousness.

Because everything is done for Krsna, he enjoys only transcendental happiness in the discharge of this service.

Those who are engaged in this process are known to be without desire for personal sense gratification.

The sense of eternal servitorship to Krsna makes one immune to all sorts of reactionary elements of work.

Gita shloka 4.19

TRANSLATION

One is understood to be in full knowledge whose every act is devoid of desire for sense gratification. He is said by sages to be a worker whose fruitive action is burned up by the fire of perfect knowledge.

PURPORT

Only a person in full knowledge can understand the activities of a person in Krsna consciousness.

Because the person in Krsna consciousness is devoid of all kinds of sense-gratificatory propensities, it is to be understood that he has burned up the reactions of his work by perfect knowledge of his constitutional position as the eternal servitor of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

He is actually learned who has attained to such perfection of knowledge.

Development of this knowledge of the eternal servitorship of the Lord is compared to fire.

Such a fire, once kindled, can burn up all kinds of reactions to work

In the world side, where there is anxiety, fear and pain, you are betting all your life & energy BUT the consequence of it all is WORTH NIL and on the SPIRITUAL SIDE, YOU ARE GUARANTEED 100% RESULT, NOTICE THESE 8 SAYINGS/GUARANTEES BY LORD HIMSELF #Blog0025

In the world side, where there is anxiety, fear and pain, you are betting all your life & energy BUT the consequence of it all is WORTH NIL and on the SPIRITUAL SIDE, YOU ARE GUARANTEED 100% RESULT – NOTICE THESE 8 SAYINGS / GUARANTEES BY LORD HIMSELF.

You see what great positivity and how much of a possibility the Lord's devotion brings to you on the table.

Forget the basis of spirituality, forget the emotion of devotion, atleast think on psychological line

On the world side you are betting your all your energy where there is anxiety, fear and pain and where the consequence of it all is worth nil

And on the spiritual side, you are guaranteed 100% result.
“Devote your constantly to Lord, you would surely redeem yourself”

for Whom you are going to devote yourself, GOD Himself is saying :

1 . “कोटि विप्र (बिप्र) बध लागहिं जाहू
आए शरण तजउँ नहीं ताहू” (विप्र = बिप्र, ब्राह्मण)

Even if one kills 1 crore (=100 million) (कोटि) Brahmins (विप्र) but if one surrenders (आए शरण) to me, I am not (नहीं) going to leave (तजउँ) him (ताहू)

2. सन्मुख (before Me) होए जीव मोहे (Me) जब ही (when the human comes before Me - with a loving heart)
(I destroy all his sins accumulated over countless births immediately he comes before Me in sincerity (i.e., surrenders to Me)

daivī — transcendental; hi — certainly; eṣā — this; guṇa-mayī — consisting of the three modes of material nature; mama — My; māyā — energy; duratyayā — very difficult to overcome; mām — unto Me; eva — certainly; ye — those who; prapadyante — surrender; māyām etām — this illusory energy; taranti — overcome; te — they.

One who surrenders (प्रपद्यन्ते) to Me (मामेव), (he- ते) surely crosses (तरन्ति) this ocean of My maya (माया मेतां)

teṣām — unto them; satata-yuktānām — always engaged; bhajatām —in rendering devotional service; prīti-pūrvakam — in loving ecstasy; dadāmi — I give; buddhi-yogam — real intelligence; tam — that; yena — by which; mām — unto Me; upayānti — come, to go near, approach; te — they.

GOD, ON WHOM HE IS PLEASED, IN HIS OWN WORDS, “I PROVIDE HIM/HER (ददामी) WISDOM (बुद्धि योगम = INTELLECT TO JOIN LORD) TO COME (उपयन्ति) TO ME”

5. “अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्”

ananyāḥ — having no other object; cintayantaḥ — concentrating; mām — on Me; ye — those who; janāḥ — persons; paryupāsate — properly worship; teṣām — of them; nitya — always; abhiyuktānām — fixed in devotion; yoga — requirements; kṣemam — protection; vahāmi — carry; aham — I.

Lord Himself says “whoever devote all their actions and thoughts to me leaving results to me (निष्कामी) & none else (अनन्य भाव से) who meditate constantly (निरन्तर चिन्तन) on me alone (मुझ नारायण को), “I” personally grant them everything (योग) and I protect their everything existing (क्षेम)

Exactly likewise, God takes care of each of us like a mother for her child. Only thing is we need vision to appreciate & be thankful & grateful at each moment of our life for this grace of Lord.
